As an apprentice working for Auto Windscreens, you will be learning the day-to-day life of a windscreen technician. You will be working in one of our local fitting centres on customers' vehicles, this will include:
Repairing chips in glass
The replacement of windscreens and body glass on a variety of vehicles
With cars becoming more and more technology-focused, you will also learn tasks like recalibration of sensors for features like automatic wipers, automatic braking and lane detection

The majority of your time would be spent working with a mentor in your fixed base location and monthly visits from an assessor

The role will involve manufacturing finned tubes and U tubes for heat exchangers. It will involve working on two different types of finning machines and learning how to use manual and automated U bending machines.
Additional processes to learn include using a gas and electric furnace, saw cutting, hydrotesting machine, crane usage and potentially fork lift driving.
The trainee will also be required to carry out quality checks during production and will need to complete production sheets.

Founded in 1946 in the North East of England, Elfab was originally named Torday Ltd after the company’s Hungarian founder Laszlo Torday. The company originally manufactured nickel foils using innovative electrofabrication methods. The foils were initially used to refurbish marine engineering equipment, and later in the rupture disc business.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, you will:
Assist in planning and implementing a range of activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for the children.
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Engage with children through play, storytelling, and creative activities.
Help maintain accurate records of children’s progress and share with parents and caregivers.
Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery/preschool.
Attend training sessions and complete and achieve the Level 2 qualification.

You will participate in the planning and delivery of learning activities to support pupils to achieve learning goals, in coordination with the class teacher and SENCo.
