Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in providing high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development.
Create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, including promoting positive behaviour.
Ensure health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene standards are consistently met.
Engage in training and development opportunities, including 6 hours of paid time per week to focus on apprenticeship studies.
Assist in daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and sleep times.
Work closely with senior staff to observe and assess children’s progress.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journals.

Prime Objectives:
The postholder will undertake work/care/support programmes to ensure pupil access to learning, both in and outside the classroom.

Manage the provision, use, and storage of equipment and materials used by pupils.
Range of Duties:
1. Support for Pupils
Supervise and support pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
Establish constructive relationships with pupils based on individual needs.
Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
Encourage interaction and engagement in teacher-led activities.
Set challenging expectations and promote pupil self-esteem and independence.
Provide feedback on progress and achievement as guided by the teacher.
Assist with the development and implementation of the individual
Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
2. Support for the Teacher:
Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupil achievement, progress, and problems.
Monitor pupil responses, accurately recording achievement/progress as directed.
Promote good behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict in line with school policy, and encouraging pupil responsibility.
Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers.
Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils in achieving learning goals.
Assist with the planning of learning activities.
Administer routine tests, invigilate exams, and undertake routine marking.
Deliver structured learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting as necessary.
Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupil competence.
Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required for lesson plans.
3. Support for the School:
Comply with all school policies and procedures, including child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns.
Be aware of and support difference and equal access to learning opportunities for all pupils.
Contribute positively to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training/performance development.
Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times (before/after school, lunchtime).
Accompany staff and pupils on visits, trips, and out-of-school activities, taking responsibility for a group under teacher supervision.
Uphold and contribute to the development of the Council’s Equal Rights policies in employment and service delivery.

To provide an intensive housing management service to service users at Bradford Cyrenians Hostel and Homes 4 Life Teams. Intensive housing management will include the following.
Processing referrals, liaising with Bradford Council Housing Options and any other key stakeholders in order to process referral and risk information
Signing tenants up to their accommodation
Dealing with HB claims and ensuring that they are up and running
Conducting budgeting skills sessions with service users
Reporting repairs to the landlord and chasing up until complete
Dealing with tenancy sustainment issues in order to avoid tenancies failing
Conducting health and safety visits to properties
Conducting re-let duties so that all flats are ready to be let
In accordance with Bradford Cyrenians' Policies and Procedures, to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of all its services in order to promote and encourage good practice.

Working in collaboration with administration team leaders, MI/funding teams and others in relation to the operation of the college.
To be a main point of contact for the relevant teaching/curriculum area, including front of house duties.

Provide robust support to academic staff to ensure all students are registered correctly and timely with awarding bodies. Including paperwork and ‘reporting’ involved in apprenticeship management.
Provide an outstanding student absence management service to support curriculum staff and students.
Effective maintenance of other operating systems, including advice on timetables and production of registers, checking completion of registers and chasing up of missing data.
Gain a good knowledge of the funding requirements, and be in a position to provide advice and guide others.
Responsibility for processing of student DBS disclosure checks in curriculum areas where these are required, e.g. childcare and health and social care.
Provide a full reception service, including cash handling as prescribed by the customer services team, in centres where reception services are required.
Ensure a regular, adequate and accessible supply of college forms, stationery and other consumables as required.
To provide invigilation for exams as and when required.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the organisation which is relevant to your post within the company to meet the overall business objectives.Training:You will study at Kirklees College, following the Business Administrator Level 3 (the standard you follow will be dependent on experience, so you could be placed on the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner standard).
The course will cover a range of Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours as outlined by the Apprenticeship Standard. These will be transferable and suitable to an administration role in any sector. Health and Safety and other role-specific processes and tools will be taught in the company.
If you do not meet the requirements for the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to be offered the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2.
Should you be offered the level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship, on successful completion, you may be offered the opportunity to later progress onto the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Business Administrator Level 3. After 18 months, you will complete an End Point Assessment. This will involve the following:

You are given time off to study; you are required to attend Kirklees College, Huddersfield Centre. You will also attend other meetings via Teams to complete work for your apprenticeship.Training Outcome:Whilst there will be no guarantee of a substantive position with the college at the end of the period, the college will guide, support and encourage suitable apprentices to apply for appropriate vacancies as and when they arise.
