As a Lead Nurse your key responsibilities include:
Provide specialist clinical knowledge, expertise and support to the nursing team and wider MDT
Have oversight of the clinical and care needs of all service users, supporting the primary nurses in working with patients, their families, community teams and other stakeholders in meeting the individual needs of each person
Ensure that proactive clinical risk assessment and management are at the centre of planning care and interventions with service users and colleagues
Constructively reviewing and challenging nursing practice in the service, leading by example, and providing expert knowledge to the nursing and wider MDT on a speciality or individual patient basis
Provide education and development of Registered Nurses and HCAs and ensuring that the baseline needs of everyone to practice safely and effectively are met
Contribute to the clinical elements of all nurse induction, preceptorship and related professional activities
Provide clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions with Registered Nurses on an individual or group basis
Undertake competency assessments and supportive practise with Registered Nurses and HCAs

At least 3 years’ experience working within multidisciplinary teams within relevant clinical settings
A clinical leader who is confident working across organisational boundaries
Experienced in leading on service development projects
An exceptional communicator who tailors your approach according to individual strengths and needs
Adept at working with colleagues across different disciplines, and seniority and skill levels

To sort all specimens entering the departments as required and to send other departments specimens to the appropriate laboratory areas.
To prioritise all urgent specimens and to communicate these effectively to all staff to enable immediate action to be taken.
To de-bag, check and label all specimens in line with current SOPs, ensuring any inaccurate details or incorrect specimens are dealt with appropriately in line with current SOPs.
To accurately enter patient demographic details onto the laboratory information system. On request from service users to add tests to existing requests, retrieving these specimens fromstorage as required, ensuring that all current SOPs and procedures are followed, asking for guidance from a senior staff member if required.
To aliquot samples as required for testing performed by external laboratories in line with current SOPs.
To centrifuge specimens as required and load onto the sample sorter as part of the initial stages of sample analysis.
To load analysers with sample racks on a regular basis to maintain workflow.
To re-cap and store all specimens, scan, and file request forms in line with current SOPs.
In accordance with current SOPs and Health and Safety Legislation, discard previously analysed specimens and request forms.
Perform a range of cleaning and disinfection duties, including benches, equipment, and fridge areas on a regular basis.
Attention to detail and accuracy is required in a busy environment where there is very little time allocated to each sample to maintain turnaround times for samples from both primary and secondary care.
To carry out procedures to package and document specimens which need to be sent to external organisations in line with current SOPs.
Ensure all procedures to maintain service provision, during routine or emergency technical or electrical failures/shutdowns, are in place and are reviewed regularly.
Responsible for ensuring completion of own daily workload to ensure effective and efficient running of the service daily.
Liaise with Laboratory staff regarding pre-analytical processing of samples and with staff from other departments regarding shared use of equipment, samples etc.
Participate in change management projects associated with this role as and when required to support service improvement and development.
Participate in internal and external audit activities as directed by the audit schedule.
Arrange external transport as needed (i.e. couriers, blood bikes).

About the team
This team supports people who have been admitted under MHA. As a part of this team will do social supervisions, risk assessments, work with police under MAPA, Health colleagues and work with ICB joint packages of care, accommodation and support services. You will support people in hospital and sectioned or in prison or on the way out of prison. This team is supportive and focuses a lot on joint working.
About you
The ideal candidate will have post-qualifying experience in Adult’s Social Work. The ideal social worker will have Mental Health awareness or experience. Experience in Criminal Justice or Learning Disabilities will lead well to this position. A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW). You will also need to be Social Work England Registered.

The Fire Alarm Design Engineer will be responsible for producing designs, detailed information for manufacturing, scheduling parts, whilst ensuring business deadlines and requirements are achieved. This will involve good collaboration with numerous other departments to ensure clear and accurate information is delivered, meeting the clients and company’s requirements, whilst providing continuous improvements.
The Fire Alarm Design Engineer will promote excellent working standards and customer practices by having a hands-on approach to completing projects.
Skills & Knowledge:

Key duties:
Understand and work to BS5839
Evaluate and understand scope and responsibilities of projects
Understand the legislative requirements and standards applicable to provide a compliant and comprehensive design
Liaise with other departments (where relevant) and customers to ensure all aspects are understood and communicated correctly.
Liaise with customer and other parties (in house and external) to forge a mutually acceptable agreed route
Clarify responsibilities and understand basic contractual elements
Confirm proposals in comprehensive correspondence & design statements
Help design and plan fire alarm systems for new and upgraded installations
Prepare and produce a fully compliant design in line with the applicable standards and project requirements
Liaise with the project team and customers to ensure design documents align with client requirements
Prioritise workload to ensure projects are developed in time with customers’ requirements
Prepare a fully detailed schedule of the equipment required to meet the design produced
Assist in the creation and revision of schematics and layout drawings
Use CAD and other specialist software to produce accurate system diagrams
Manage changes to the design and required equipment for the project
Assist with preparing technical documentation, project packs, and handover files
Help maintain accurate project records and schedules
Confirm proposals in comprehensive correspondence & design statements
Be responsive to ongoing demands and correspondence.
Input into and help with improving the quality and service within the area
Have a high regard and standard for delivering customer service
Occasionally attend site visits to aid with technical and design related issues
Training:
You will be required to attend the Institute of Technology, 1 day per week in term time only
You will be assigned an assessor who will visit you in the workplace every 8 weeks to support you with your apprenticeship
You will receive a Level 4 HNC Engineering Manufacturing Technician qualification upon successful completion of your apprenticeship
