Purpose of the Role:
The Business Administrator Apprentice will provide effective administrative and operational support to members of the Nottinghamshire TORCH SCITT team. Working closely with the SCITT Operations Manager and the wider team, the role is designed to develop the apprentice’s knowledge, skills and behaviours in line with the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, while contributing to the efficient running of recruitment, onboarding, training and compliance activities across the SCITT.

The role is varied and rewarding. You will work 08:30–15:30 as part of a supportive team.
Typical duties include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and achieve their targets and supporting with any physical and care needs
Assisting with sensory circuits and other activities designed to help pupils regulate and prepare for learning
Supporting children with emotional regulation, using strategies to promote calm and positive behaviour
Supervising pupils during break times and part of lunch, ensuring safety and encouraging positive play
Collaborating with teachers and other staff to adapt activities and provide personalised support
Remaining flexible and responsive to the changing needs of pupils throughout the day
Training:
This programme is delivered via a 13 week evening session to cover the knowledge element of this apprenticeship. your attendance is required at our Derby Road Campus, NG18
You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
You will experience a blended learning model
