Our three-year Advanced Apprenticeship will train you to become an Overhead Lines Power Network Craftsperson, providing site support to our electrical power network. You'll play a crucial role in the safe construction, maintenance, and repair of the UK's power network, ensuring a reliable supply of electricity to the country. This dynamic role will take you to various locations across our network.
As an Advanced Apprentice, you'll experience a fast-paced and varied work life. No two days will be the same. Some of the tasks you can expect to be involved in include:
Working in accordance with safe practices and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring safety while working at heights.
Climbing steel towers to install, maintain, test, repair, and dismantle overhead line equipment, solving problems with an organized and practical approach.
Operating vehicles equipped with tools and materials, traveling to remote job sites.
Safely operating plant and equipment like winches, Telehandlers, and MEWPs.
Shadowing experienced linespersons to gain new skills and knowledge in the field.
Receiving training at our Training Facility in Eakring (Nottinghamshire) to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Working outdoors in various locations, embracing different weather conditions.
Collaborating as an enthusiastic team player to achieve challenging tasks.
Receiving Health and Safety training leading to role-specific authorizations.
Being away from home and working in different zones/geographical areas to develop your skills.
Training:Initially you will be at our National Training Centre in Eakring, Nottinghamshire for your Induction period which is around six weeks, then periodically for technical training.
In the first year, you will spend 70% of your time at the Eakring Training Centre with the remaining 30% on site (gathering site-based experience).
Year two will be 50/50 at Eakring and on site and in thethird year 70% on site and 30% at Eakring training centre.Training Outcome:After all of this fantastic training and experience, you will want to spend the next few years putting this all into practice and continuing to build on your technical capability acquiring further technical certificates and qualifications.

Provide process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production, and packaging functions to improve safety, and support the MS 168 continuous improvement process.
Production Support
Support daily production needs through process troubleshooting, experimentation and support for production requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, increase material utilization, improve first time right, integrate new products/processes into production and reduce variation. Implement necessary changes and update all documentation (including drawings and SOP's) accordingly
Capital Plan
Coordinates with plant engineer to oversee capital projects necessary for the continued improvement and modernization of the plant. Ensure completion of projects within budgets.
Safety
Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions. Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc. of all equipment. Administer process hazard analyses (PHA's) for identified materials, processes, and RHP Compliance
MS 168
Support the tier meeting process by the implementation and analysis of data collection and visual management systems.
Environmental Program reporting
Support the site's environmental program by assisting with reporting, compliance monitoring, and QA results in support of process engineering improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering 2+ years' experience in manufacturing environment. Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process. Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's). PLC with ladder logic analysis. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.

As the Finance Administrator, you will be reporting to the Finance Supervisor where you have the opportunity to gain broad experience. The Role

Deliver first class eye examinations, contact lens care and other eyecare services provided by the practice.

Explain each step of the examination so that the patient understands what is happening.
