This role plays a key part in the development and delivery of both new and existing valve products, supporting the engineering team in meeting industry and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Design Engineer As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will support the engineering function with tasks including:
Creating general assembly and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Preparing bills of materials within the company’s MRP system.
Assisting in the creation of installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.
Supporting the design and development of valve products in line with industry standards (e.g., ASME VIII, ASME B16.34, API 6A/6D).
Contributing to troubleshooting and resolving product performance issues.
Assisting in the preparation of factory test procedures.
Collaborating with departments such as R&D, Sales, and Production.
Skills & Experience Required for Graduate Design Engineer
Strong design skills, ideally with an interest in valve or mechanical product design.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred).
Understanding of engineering drawing standards (BS8888).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
