We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a prestige dealership in Tunbridge Wells now. Looking for Level 3 qualified candidates with knowledge of general servicing and diagnostics.
The Vehicle Technician role comes with a Basic salary can range from £28000 - £33000 with an OTE of up to £50k + fantastic opportunities for progression.
Key Vehicle Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard
- As the Vehicle Technician you will carry out all work completely and effectively whilst adhering to manufacturers scheduled times to maintain efficiency
- Effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilised in line with group and manufacturer standards
Minimum Vehicle Technician Requirements:
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
- Have at least 2 years experience after a qualifying period, of working in a Dealership as a Vehicle Technician (or similar)
- Must have a Driving License

Assessment Includes: On-going assessment of soft skills and behaviours, a behaviour assessment, Knowledge and understanding tests at the end of Gateway 1 and 2, Skills tests at the end of Gateway 1 and 2.
This is followed by the synoptic assessment, of which there are four components:
Log book (final year review to assess apprentice’s progress)
Behaviour Assessment
Knowledge Test (an in-depth, online test exploring knowledge/understanding of the apprentice)

During the first two years of the apprenticeship you will develop skills in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting. The final two years will allow you to develop advanced diagnostic skills and repair techniques to include but not limited to:
Undertake, overhaul, repair or refurbishment work on the machines
Carry out standard diagnostic tests on machine components
Carry out planned maintenance and general repairs
Complete commercial assessments and field inspections

Training:We offer a 4 year Apprenticeship working towards a Land Based Service Engineer Technician Level 3 standard where you will be supported to work alongside our Engineers to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and rebuilds of heavy plant equipment.
The successful candidate(s) will carry out a broad range of duties relating to the proper maintenance of equipment and be trained by Finning's in-house specialised Apprenticeship Training Team in our academy. Finning are the employer provider so all training is done on site.
