We are looking for an experienced and committed Children's Social Worker to provide critical support to our team based at Mercury House, Richmond. This is a short-term, office-based assignment covering the recruitment process within the Children & Young People’s Service.
About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people, working directly with families, professionals, and multi-agency partners. You will be expected to manage complex cases, including child protection and court proceedings, while delivering high-quality assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver statutory social work services to children and families in line with legislation and best practice.
Manage a varied caseload, including child protection and court cases.
Undertake assessments and develop outcome-focused care plans.
Work closely with families and partner agencies to ensure child safety and wellbeing.
Prepare and present high-quality court reports and attend hearings as necessary.
Record all work to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within children's social care
Extensive experience in child protection and court proceedings
Strong knowledge of child welfare legislation
Skilled in systemic practice and strength-based approaches
Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
No current annotations or restrictions on your SWE registration

Recording accidents in the accident book and ensuring that the manager is informed of the report before the parent receives it.
Looking upon the Setting as a "whole" to determine where help can be most utilised.
