Our client a leading international architectural practice are currently recruiting for a Senior Design / Project Manager.
The successful candidate has experience working across multiple sectors of architectural practices, with multiple clients and design teams. They should have experience leading teams through all work stages of medium to large scale complex construction projects. The role requires a well-rounded understanding of the construction process and the Architect’s roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of multiple projects and project teams.
Engage with and advise clients through the various project stages.
Deliver and achieve approved design solutions to client teams, and communicate these to the project team.
Guide and drive consulting partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
Analyse and input into project delivery strategies at client representative and project levels.
Manage and assign project resources effectively.
Report on project status and resource requirements to senior management.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of architectural design and translating design concepts to project detail within budgets.
Be competent in the role of administering construction contracts, design team lead and instructions to contractors.
Site visits to provide construction and technical support.
Requirements
The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Irish construction sector.
Experience in the role of contract administration on standard and amended forms of contract.
Project programming, resource planning and project management methodologies an advantage
Expert project level design knowledge and expertise.
Professional qualification or experience in architecture, architectural technology, or engineering an advantage.
Excellent design communication and presentation capabilities.
Applicants must be familiar with current Irish Building and Planning Regulations.
Experience in the high technology, process driven or industrial sector building design.
Strong Revit skills advantageous but not essential.

Training:The Dairy Technologist Apprenticeship training will be delivered via blended approach of distance learning and 2 periods of 2 weeks for hands on practical training in a purpose built state of the art training facility in Cheshire. The rest of the time will be spent learning the roles of each function in rotation, putting the know-how to practice and good use to the business - all supported and nurtured by an inspiring workplace mentor.

As an Electrical Trials Technician Apprentice you will be responsible for the operation of various data capture equipment used in the Test and Evaluation Industry.
This role is wide-ranging, has both practical and theoretical elements and you will often be viewed as a multi-disciplined engineer, with knowledge of all electronic aspects of test and evaluation techniques.

You’ll complete five, year-long placements in different areas of finance, giving you an unrivalled breadth of experience. Within Test & Commissioning you will be working as part of a wider team that tests and commissions the Astute & Dreadnought class submarines. This is one of the final phases of boat build and ensures that the mechanical and electrical systems are built to their design intent and function safely and reliably.
As a degree apprentice you will be working alongside qualified engineers on the Reactor Systems to support these tests that are essential for the submarine safe operation.
During the programme individuals will be working towards becoming a qualified and competent commissioning engineer and studying Nuclear Engineering at University.
Specific activities could include:
Working closely with the Operations build teams to verify that the systems have been installed to the appropriate workmanship quality standards. The Installations are checked for any defects and for any bespoke installation requirements such as those to facilitate commissioning tests
Carrying out system walk downs to ensure the systems conform to the installation documentation. This is an essential layer of protection to ensure the plant has been installed correctly to the design intent
Commissioning the systems by testing the system's functionality. In the early commissioning phases this includes testing individual plant items and plant systems within boundary conditions. In the later commissioning phases the plant systems are tested as fully integrated systems as per design intent
Commissioning the plant includes flushing, pressurising and energising the systems to check for defects, functionality and also to check that plant operating parameters are within specification and tolerance
Achieving safety from the system by applying electro mechanical plant isolations and dissipating any stored energy in order for the plant to be worked on safely
Training:
Nuclear scientist and nuclear engineer (integrated degree)
At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
