As a Level 3 Apprentice Commissioning Engineer, you’ll learn how to:
Successfully commission and start-up water, waste, bio-resource and networks projects
Gain knowledge of commissioning planning and preparation of comprehensive commissioning plans
Observe senior Engineers in the commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and control systems, planning of and conducting of tests and inspections to ensure systems and components function according to commissioning requirements troubleshoot and resolve installation and commissioning issues
Understand the importance of maintaining accurate records of commissioning activities and results, and how to prepare and submit detailed reports on testing and commissioning outcomes
Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements

Ensure our mechanical assets and equipment are always running up to standard on our wastewater treatment works
Work as part of a dedicated team focussed on ensuring our plants continue to operate at maximum efficiency
Work with a wide range of equipment, be able to identify any faults and carry out routine maintenance, following the company’s rigorous health and safety standards
Schedule maintenance activity and organise your workload effectively

Use your hands and use tools to monitor and repair equipment
Treat sludge as it comes into the site and how our thermal hydrolysis process creates gases and “class A” treated sludge
Safely isolate equipment and work in a safe environment
Perform planned maintenance on different pieces of equipment
