Assist qualified plumbers and heating engineers with a variety of domestic plumbing and heating installations
Support first fix and second fix plumbing work mainly within bathrooms but also kitchens
Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of domestic plumbing and heating systems
Help install sanitary ware, radiators, pipework and associated fittings
Prepare and organise materials, tools and equipment for daily tasks
Learn to read and interpret basic drawings and job specifications
Learn to read and interpret boiler installation and service manuals to assist with fault finding, diagnosis and breakdown response under the supervision of qualified engineers
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment n accordance with health and safety procedures
Load and unload materials and assist with deliveries when required
Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues on site
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop practical skills and follow instructions from supervisors
Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the apprenticeship role
Training:
Day Release (1 day per week) at City Skills M6 & other 4 days with the employer

Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing work
First and second fix electrical installations

Carrying out inspection and testing in accordance with current regulations

Working from drawings, specifications and installation instructions
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

The company are looking for someone who ideally has:
Electrical experience and may have 18th Edition Wiring Regulations with a good understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
You will need to have a full UK driving licence or have your test date booked.
On occasion you will work away so there will be the occasional overnight stay.
