Location: Hertfordshire (office-based, hybrid working available following probation)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lighting Designer to join a well-established UK specialist in exterior and infrastructure lighting solutions. This permanent role sits within the Technical Department and is based at the company’s office in Hertfordshire, offering the chance to work on a wide range of technically challenging and high-profile lighting projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced lighting design professional with strong technical expertise, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities of the Lighting Designer (based in Hertfordshire):
Produce detailed lighting designs using industry-standard software including Agi32, Lighting Reality, Relux and Dialux (training available where required).
Work closely with clients and contractors to understand project requirements and deliver effective lighting solutions.
Review and refine existing lighting designs to improve performance, efficiency, and optimise luminaire quantities.
Interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations associated with exterior and infrastructure lighting.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure technical designs align with commercial and project objectives.
Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Undertake occasional UK site visits, including work outside normal office hours where required.
Provide wider technical and departmental support as needed.
Requirements of the Lighting Designer (based in Hertfordshire):
Proven experience in lighting design, ideally within a technical or commercial environment.
