Key responsibilities will include:
Property Maintenance Repairs to include basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating
Carry out interior repairs where required such as to walls, doors, doorframes or skirting boards, or plaster damage to internal walls, maintain plumbing and drainage systems, e.g. repair WC systems and leaking taps or unblock drains, maintain high levels of water hygiene, safely repair electrical installations according to legal requirements, e.g. replace damaged sockets, plugs, lighting and fuses, carry out refurbishment or deep cleaning, and maintain the grounds and exterior of a building, including drainage and guttering
Assist in the daily and seasonal maintenance of the site and equipment inside and outside, changing bulbs, door locks, decorating etc
Support the Buildings Manager in facilities management by completing regular checks and keep records up to date
Support the Buildings Manager and understand the safe use of tools and equipment
Comply with Health and Safety, Fire regulations, manual handling, risk assessments etc
Attend training courses as required
Be committed to safeguarding qualification

You will begin by supporting our economists and will immediately be involved in the research we conduct for our clients. This work will provide in-depth experience in the practical use of advanced statistical and modelling software, data visualisation tools, mapping software and other quantitative analysis tools, as well as valuable and practical knowledge related to the application of economics to real world questions.
You will rotate between different teams within the office during your training, giving you exposure to what various teams do within the business.
You will be supported by a mentor and our Human Resources department, as well as your line manager and team leader.

To support the team of system and finance data experts.

What you’ll do at workThis is a site-based role where you will be placed on a project according to your location where there is an Engineer to mentor you through the first stages in your Civil Engineering career. Some of the day-to-day tasks are:
To provide sufficient information and set out for each gang on site to have continuity of work and inform Line Manager if this is not possible
To implement and comply with a safe system of work at site level and ensure operatives are briefed
To assist with site investigations
Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and the technical team, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients
To monitor the progress and quality of works on all sites against programme and specification
To ensure all works are signed off by the client prior to being accessed by follow-on trades
To liaise with subcontractors and provide them with sufficient information
To assist with risk assessments and writing method statements for all elements of work, assist in briefing the workforce and ensure that work is being carried out in line with RAMS on-site
