TRAINEE SALES EXECUTIVE Southampton Up to circa £28K Basic + Bonus Salary Reviewed Every 3 Months
Learn, Earn, Progress
We’re hiring entry-level / junior Sales Executives to join a fast-moving, high-support B2B sales team. This is a trainee role with real structure, proper coaching and a clear path to progression. Perfect for someone with some sales or customer-facing experience who wants to build a long-term career in sales.
The Role This is hands-on, desk-based sales (around 90%), with occasional face-to-face customer meetings once you’re up and running.
Handling both inbound and outbound calls
Managing your own inbox and customer enquiries
Building profitable relationships, not just taking orders
Working towards clear call and profit targets (no guessing what “good” looks like)
You’ll be supported every step of the way, but ownership of results sits with you.
The Day-to-Day: No two days are identical, but your core focus will be:
Speaking to customers daily, high call volume, high energy
Managing a customer portfolio while also finding new opportunities
Spotting ways to turn enquiries into profitable orders
Updating your pipeline accurately and consistently
Learning how to sell properly, not just process orders
You’ll go through a structured in-house Sales Academy, including:
Understanding the full internal sales cycle
Listening to real call examples from top performers
Shadowing experienced colleagues
Weekly desk-side coaching from your Team Leader
Monthly 1:1s with your Sales Manager
The Culture & Environment: This is a loud, lively, collaborative sales floor:
Music on all day
Live call stats and talk-time screens
Bells ringing when targets are hit
Daily shout-outs for calls and profit at lunch and end of day
Colleagues actively helping colleagues win
Targets matter, but people aren’t beaten with them. Coaching comes first. And yes… there are incentives:
Rolling 3-month salary incentives
Regular socials
Prize wheels, vouchers, chocolates, spot rewards (always changing)
Progression (This Is Not a Dead-End Role) Many of the Sales Managers here started in this exact role. The pathway looks like: Internal Account Manager ? Team Leader ? Sales Management
Most leadership roles are filled internally. If you bring the drive, you’ll be given the opportunity.
You’ll Fit This Role If You:
Have some experience in sales, targets, or a customer-facing environment
Are motivated by money and results (house goals welcome)
Enjoy speaking to people all day
Want a sales career — not “just an office job”
Thrive in a busy, performance-led environment
This Role Probably Isn’t for You If:
You want inbound-only or admin-heavy work
Targets make you uncomfortable
You prefer a quiet, low-energy office
The Package:
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000
Profit Share: Annual, uncapped and completely individual
Hours: 8:50am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Early Finish Fridays: Finish at 3pm if weekly targets are hit
Holiday: 25 days (including Christmas closure)
Pension: Auto-enrolled, matched up to 6%
Perks: Free on-site gym & parking

The two co founders of Adam Walsh and Mark Kilvington had spent over 40 years in the industry and over that time had seen it become a corporate money making machine where the customer was now coming second in order to fulfil the profit expectations of the international holding company owners. They brought in leading experts in the fields of Nick Dodds (Commercials), Nicholle Anderson (Customer Service) & Joseph Simpson (Sales) to assist in building a business that had to buck the trend of the word ‘fuel cards’ and start working for the client instead of the other way around.
So, in an effort to go from poacher to gamekeeper they wanted to start a business that not only helped businesses secure a great deal for their fuel cards, but to manage and monitor it for them each week to ensure it stayed a great deal week on week. This would then mean businesses could avoid the hassle of having to swap and change every few months and jumping from the frying pan into the fryer. They setup contracted agreement with certain fuel card providers so that any Driving Down member that took out their cards would receive free cards for life, a contracted market tracking price & a lifetime guarantee of no fees or charges applied to the account. This meant customers could have the peace of mind their fuel cards were well looked after and managed.
In time there also came a demand from clients to help and assist them manage their current fuel card provider. The hassle of switching cards and changing provider could be a logistical nightmare, so acting as their in house fuel card management would be more beneficial. So the team at Driving Down setup the ‘Fuel Management Partner’ package. So they could then work on the clients behalf each week to negotiate with their supplier to get them a better price to avoid being overcharged. They could analyse the invoices to find surcharges or fees that could be reduced or removed & in turn save the client significant amounts on their monthly fuel costs, plus taking away what is usual an arduous job within a business.Working Hours :Working hours 30 per week, Tuesday - Friday.Skills: Communication skills,IT skills,Attention to detail,Organisation skills,Customer care skills,Team working,Initiative,Non judgemental,Patience,Flexible,Good attendance record,Proactive,Telephony Skills,Confident....Read more...

We're not looking for someone for the short term. We want to find the right person to invest in for the long term, and to support their continued growth and career development with us.Employer Description:Our clients' success is our business. For us that's a commitment, not a tagline.
Pollard Media is a full-service marketing agency based in Norwich, Norfolk, and is a Google and Meta Partner. We're not a big, faceless agency, and that's exactly why our clients choose us. We work with a select number of businesses so we can stay fully invested in every one.
We deliver bespoke strategy, sharp creative execution, and a team that operates like part of the client's business rather than another supplier. We believe marketing should be clear, honest and effective. No jargon, no smoke and mirrors, no set-it-and-forget-it campaigns. Just thoughtful work that actually moves the needle.
We started as a side hustle in 2019 and grew into a full-service agency by doing things differently. We listened, we showed up, we treated every client's business like it was our own. That approach hasn't changed. If anything, it's become more central to who we are.
Our team is close-knit by design, and we believe in fairness. Through our Single Sector Area Promise, we work with only one business per sector in each area, so we never work with a client's direct competitor. When we're in a client's corner, we're fully in it.
We bring that same commitment to the people we hire. As an apprentice with us, you'll be right at the heart of delivering that success for our clients, doing real, varied work across strategy, social media, Google Ads, SEO, websites and content. And just as we invest in our clients, we'll invest in you, backing you to learn, grow and build a long-term career with us.Working Hours :Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.Skills: Communication skills,IT skills,Attention to detail,Organisation skills,Customer care skills,Problem solving skills,Number skills,Analytical skills,Logical,Team working,Creative,Initiative,Patience,Analytical thinking,Proactive approach,Confident meeting new people,Curious & eager to learn,Personable....Read more...
