Role of the SHE Advisor
As the SHE Advisor, you will be involved in developing and implementing new Health & Safety focused procedures to promote continuous improvement with regards to Audits, Compliance and other Health & Safety procedures and legislation that is applicable to the site.
You will directly report into the Health & Safety Manager and will be expected to advise, inspect and supervise contractor activity for the site construction and installation project. Additionally, you would be required to both monitor and analyse different works taking place as well as working closely with key service providers of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide advise on relevant regulation and compliance to the different departments based on site.
To act as a subject matter expert within Health, Safety and Environment in all related areas in order to support different teams, supervisors and managers.
Lead safety reviews, inspections, audits and accident and investigations.
Successfully work towards site KPI’s and to be able to generate KPI’s to be monitored towards Health and Safety improvements.
To identify operational training and coaching needs.
Essential Criteria of the SHE Advisor:
A NEBOSH qualification is required
A Degree in a relevant scientific field is required
Strong working knowledge of Process Safety
Vast understanding of COMAH Regulations as well as having worked on a COMAH Site within a Health & Safety role.
Good understanding of both Human Factors and Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental factors.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Performs visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of parts, products and raw materials to conform to established specifications, applicable standards and the ISO 9001 Quality System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows the established quality control procedures to ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with IMS, customer specifications, ISO9001:2015 and ISO14000-2015.
Conducts the inspection and testing of raw materials and products, both in process and finished.
Performs color quality control and corrections by interpreting results obtained using appropriate measurements.
Inspects, calibrates and supervises the use of various instrumentation for testing.
Performs data analysis and provides feedback and improvement suggestions to plant personnel, production management, QC Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager on all issues concerning quality.
Maintains Quality Control documents and daily reporting of information.
Assists in complaint investigations by performing tests to detect or duplicate issues observed in the field.
Assists in trouble shooting machine functions and production issues as they arise.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll work within our network of service centres and on our customer sites, where you will learn to:
· Service and repair a diverse fleet of Plant and Tools equipment, as well as a wide range of specialist Powered Access machinery to meet company and manufacturer standards.
· Inspect and function test a wide range of Plant, Tools and Powered Access machines to ensure they meet the correct operational and safety guidelines in-line with manufacturer specifications.
· Diagnose and rectify complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults, using the most up to date diagnostic workshop equipment.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll work within our network of service centres and on our customer sites, where you will learn to:
· Service and repair a diverse fleet of Plant and Tools equipment, as well as a wide range of specialist Powered Access machinery to meet company and manufacturer standards
· Inspect and function test a wide range of Plant, Tools and Powered Access machines to ensure they meet the correct operational and safety guidelines in-line with manufacturer specifications
· Diagnose and rectify complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults, using the most up to date diagnostic workshop equipment
· Order replacement parts and learn to fit them correctly, with on-the-job mentoring, in-line with manufacturer specifications
· Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic service and maintenance records, with involvement in daily capacity planning to maintain fleet availability
· Develop in-depth product knowledge across a vast range of machinery
· Build excellent working relationships with service centre colleagues, and with customers, to understand their business needs and requirements
· Be involved in service centre daily team-talks (Huddles)
· Be involved in all workshop processes, procedures and safe systems of work (SSOW), risk assessments, method statements (RAMS)
· Have interface with a wide range of support functions including SHEQ Managers & Auditors, to better understand requirements for continual improvement within the service centre
· Become an ambassador for our “Customer First” culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your colleagues and customers informed, so they feel truly valued
· Manage multiple tasks and deadlines as part of a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environmentTraining:You will initially complete a level 3 Construction and Powered Access Machinery Technician Apprenticeship Standard, followed by a level 4 Lead Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard with full HNC accreditation. This programme will be delivered using a combination of:
