A busy riding school and livery yard looking to take on 2 apprentices, either riding grooms or non-riding grooms. They are also looking for candidates who may be open to the idea of becoming an instructor to do some teaching and training.
They are an ABRS approved yard, and very busy, with a variety of opportunities for an apprentice to get involved in.
The employer has competition horses, and also compete, so need an apprentice who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and looking for a long term career in the equine sector.
On a daily basis, duties will include, but not be limited to;
Turning in and out, changing rugs, picking out feet
Feeding, filling haynets, filling water buckets
Tacking up and untacking
Mucking out
Training:Equine Groom Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Training Outcome:
A long term role on the yard, with progression to the level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship if desired
As Bartlow Equestrian are an ABRS approved centre, there will also be the opportunity to do the ABRS exams
