Are you a reliable and customer-focused 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for your next opportunity? Our client, based in Bristol, is seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join their busy home delivery team.
Working as part of a two-person crew, you'll be delivering furniture, electrical goods, appliances, and other household products directly to customers' homes. This is a physically active role that combines safe driving, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
The Role
As a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver, you will:
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in line with all road transport legislation.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Deliver goods to customers' homes safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Load and unload heavy and bulky items with your delivery partner.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and use delivery management systems.
- Provide outstanding customer service on every delivery.
- Keep your vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy.
- Comply with Driver Hours regulations and Digital Tachograph requirements at all times.
What We're Looking ForEssential:
- Full UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to carry out physically demanding work, including heavy lifting.

This is a hands-on coordination role where you'll be responsible for planning local deliveries, coordinating driver routes and schedules, monitoring consignments and keeping customers and internal teams updated throughout the process.
You'll be the person making sure the detail is right, issues are picked up quickly and the operation keeps moving. This position would suit someone who enjoys a busy, fast-paced environment, as well as working independently.
As Scheduling Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Planning and coordinating daily deliveries and driver routes
Monitoring consignments from collection through to delivery
Liaising with Customer Services and providing regular ETA updates
Managing delivery discrepancies, failed deliveries and held consignments
Preparing information and data for daily operational meetings
Uploading paperwork, labels, manifests and relevant consignment information
Managing changes to collection dates, pallet types and charges
Keeping the Transport Management System and depot network information up to date
Monitoring scanning performance and operational KPIs
Managing driver communications and second-run schedules
Dealing with internal and external queries and customer complaints
Arranging couriers when required and tracking associated costs
Supporting weekly invoicing, self-bill amendments and credit queries
Ensuring all consignments are correctly uploaded and transferred as required
Helping to train colleagues on the process
Ensuring processes comply with relevant safety and operational requirements
As Scheduling Administrator, you must be/have:
Experience of logistics planning or coordination
Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS)
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
A proactive approach and the confidence to react quickly when plans change
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload
A practical, problem-solving approach
