Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 DOE + Bonus (potentially higher for the right candidate)
Hours: Mon-Fri, core hours 08:30 – 17:00 (must be flexible depending on business needs)

KHR is working with a growing and well-established engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced technical Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function.
The role will focus on leading and developing the engineering team, overseeing NPI/NPD projects from concept through to design and manufacturing, while also improving engineering processes. The successful candidate will be hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working across multiple areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across different areas of engineering.
– Manage recruitment, appraisals, performance, coaching and ongoing development of engineers.
– Oversee NPI/NPD from concept/design through to manufacturing.
– Manage multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring technical, quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
– Improve engineering processes, governance, documentation and ways of working.
– Work closely with Manufacturing and Production to support successful product development and industrialisation.
– Provide hands-on technical leadership, problem-solving and engineering decision-making.
– Support engineering strategy, innovation, resource planning and continuous improvement.
- Oversee engineering resources and priorities, ensuring teams are effectively allocated across multiple projects and business requirements.
- Identify and manage technical risks, supporting design reviews, technical trade-offs and ensuring engineering solutions meet standards.
- Develop engineering capability and best practice, introducing structured design methodologies, configuration control and lessons learned to improve product quality and reliability.
What We're Looking For
– Strong Engineering Management level experience.
– Strong NPI/NPD and product life cycle experience.
– Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams, across multiple areas of engineering/manufacturing
– Genuine people management experience, including recruitment, performance management and development.
– Experience working closely with manufacturing and production.
– Ideally from electronics, medical, defence, software, scientific or another complex engineering environment.
– A hands-on and technically engaged leadership style rather than purely strategic experience.
– Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.

Assisting the general administration of the customer booking process
Data entry of work in NetFreight (Operational System)
Development of Knowledge of Air, Sea and Road Freight markets and procedures
Airline bookings, preparation of export documentation
Liaising with transport
Department to book collections, deliveries, airport transfers etc.

Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship English and mathematics minimum requirement is Entry Level 3
Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training
Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge, skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop
Identify, track and support 6 hours of off-the-job training activities
Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps
