As a Supply Chain Manager, you will have experience of inventory, stock control, purchasing / procurement and supplier relationships within the automotive parts industry. You will be joining a well-established wholesaler of automotive aftermarket parts operating across the UK and Europe. The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management including stock control, procurement and supplier relationships.
Inventory Management
Develop and implement strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise excess inventory.
Conduct regular stock audits.
Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Procurement
Source and purchase automotive parts from various suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and pricing agreements.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Analyse market trends and product availability to mitigate supply chain risks.
Stock Control
Track movement of parts, monitor stock levels and prevent stockouts.
Coordinate with sales and operations to forecast demands and adjust inventory levels.
Implement measure to reduce stock shrinkage and identify causes of any discrepancies.
The Candidate
A proven background within an inventory, supply chain or procurement role.
Previous experience of the automotive parts industry, this could be within a motor factor or a multi franchise dealer parts operation.
A first-class understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control and procurement strategies.
The ability to negotiate and influence through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
An analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving outlook.

General Purpose:
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include performing regular services and maintenance procedures, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, installing new equipment, and maintain parts inventories. In addition, you will be an active participant in EHS, ISO and Lean initiatives. This position can lead to a supervisory role in the future.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, your main duties and responsibilities daily will include but not be limited to: Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and repair. Perform equipment inspections and identify need for preventive and corrective measures. Repair as needed. Perform facility inspections and identify need for preventive and corrective measures. Repair as needed. Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades. Maintain equipment calibration. Support OSHA Electrical Safety Compliance. Support OSHA Safety Compliance. Utilize CMMS software to schedule and record maintenance activities. Participate in cross functional team meetings/projects, i.e. Safety Committee, maintain and update facility and equipment drawings, blueprints, and files. First point of contact for Site Security and responding to alarm events keeping the HSE/Purchasing Supervisor and Plant Manager informed. Responsible for Housekeeping within the Maintenance areas. Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications and Previous Experience:
High school diploma or GED Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Minimum of two years related experience and/or training Experience rigging heavy components, operating and troubleshooting mobile equipment (fork lifts, man lifts, skid-steer, etc.) Experience managing teams in the maintenance field Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages Familiarity with SAP a plus. AutoCAD skills a plus
Key Competencies
Technical Skills: familiarity with OSHA a plus, mechanical knowledge and use of common tools and gauges. Purpose of Role
To assist in the co-ordination of the sourcing of plant and materials purchased directly by company and to support the Purchasing Department in his role.
Responsibilities
Materials Procurement
Promptly place orders with suppliers & ensure Project Managers & QSs are kept up to date on delivery.
Obtain best prices from suppliers for items needed, obtaining a minimum of 3 quotations for bespoke materials
Monitor project staff compliance with the Materials Procurement Policy
Assist with the invoice and credit note process and maintain good communication with Suppliers and Accounts department
Maintain accurate file & email storage to ensure proper and timely payment of invoices.
Safety Health & Environmental
Ensure that all materials & equipment purchased by the company comply with the relevant safety standards.
Ensure Material Safety Data Sheets are obtained where required; where appropriate, seek advice from the Safety Manager regarding health & safety or environmental implications of materials and equipment purchased.
Other
Maintain the Warehouse & Stores areas (assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries, driving the forklift, keeping such areas clean and tidy)
Assist Estimating Department on pricing as required.
Ensure the movement of materials and plant to and from the Warehouse is properly accounted for.
Assist the Travel Co-Ordinator with booking flights and accommodation when needed.
Provide support to project sites as and when required.
Assist HR Team by facilitating procurement inductions to new hires.
Any other related responsibilities.
