The Parts Department is at the heart of our operations. Our Parts Advisors are responsible for the stock control of a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories. This includes the ordering, selling and managing of stock to ensure that we meet the needs of our trade counter customers and to guarantee that our workshop team have the parts and accessories that they need to complete their daily tasks.
Your duties will vary from day to day and could include:
Providing advice to customers who are having problems with their vehicles
Taking sales orders from customers both face to face and over the phone
Stock control for vehicle parts and accessories
Maintaining an ordered stock room
Raising invoices for parts sold
Liaison with internal teams to ensure the correct stock is place at the right time
Our ideal candidate will be methodical in their way of working and be able to demonstrate precise attention to detail.
As a central point of contact for both of our internal and external customers you will need to have excellent communication skills. You also should be IT literate (although full training will be provided).

As an apprentice in the Design Team, you will assist in the design and delivery of traffic management schemes, cycling schemes and public transport schemes.
You will assist in the preparation of design and construction drawings for highway works implemented by developers, predominantly new carriageway and footway construction work.
This requires interaction and collaboration with teams covering engineering design, water management and flood risk and transport planning.
You will work alongside existing qualified Civil Engineers where you will assist them in developing designs and programming of works.
You’ll learn how to outline and detail design using various Computer Aided Design software programmes, alongside using Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
In addition, you’ll be taught how to produce and understand drawings, reading and interpreting specifications, surveys and setting out.

As an HR Support Assistant Apprentice, you’ll provide essential support to the HR Operations department, including:
Provide advice to employees and managers on UKRI policy and processes
Review and action staff change forms and provide advice on associated policy and completion of forms where appropriate.
Act as gatekeeper for the HR inbox, ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner, managing day-to-day queries and escalating to the appropriate person/team if appropriate
Champion the use of HR self-service options to aid line managers and employees on generic HR policy and process queries
Handle and manage confidential data where required

Sessions will be delivered online through workshops, small group study sessions and self-guided study. You will also be supported on a 1:1 basis throughout your apprenticeship by a dedicated Coach.
Throughout the course, you will build a portfolio of work, demonstrating your application of HR Support tools and techniques.
