The Role - Drainage Engineer
- Provide input into surface water/foul drainage strategies and highway design
- Provide input into technical reports and support the preparation of fee proposals

- Prepare risk assessments, undertake site walkovers, and oversee CCTV or other
survey works
- Liaise and provide advice to clients and stakeholders
- Manage time and budgets under guidance from the line manager
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Civil Engineer
- Relevant degree is essential (i.e. Civil Engineering, Engineering) and be motivated to gain Chartership (i.e. ICE,
CIWEM, etc).
- Familiar with drainage policy and guidance
- Familiar with drainage design software (Microdrainage, Causeway, CAD)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with clients, and statutory

Tremco Construction Products Group brings together Tremco CPG Inc.'s Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing and Roofing & Building Maintenance divisions; Tremco Barrier Solutions Inc.; Dryvit, Nudura and Willseal brands; Prebuck LLC; Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.; Weatherproofing Technologies Canada and PureAir Control Services, Inc. Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America. Process Engineer II is an extension of management. Responsibilities are broad and include safety, product quality, process control, productivity improvement, and development of a LEAN culture. The Engineer is expected to spend a significant amount of time on the floor, lead major process equipment projects, and mentor less experienced engineers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety Assume a leadership position at the facility in partnership with the shift supervisors. Activities include resolution and communication regarding safety issues. Execute on scheduled PHA's and JSA's. Proactively monitor area and remediate potential safety issues. Use DAKOTA software as a tool for compliance and environmental, health and safety. Use the tool to report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances. LEAN Culture Develop and execute upon "standard work" activities. Assume responsibility for assigned activities on the Engineering Tier and other accountability boards. Conduct "GEMBA Walks" daily. Use walks as the primary means of education and communication of expectations. Improve productivity through elimination of non-value-added activities. Apply Engineering principles and methodologies to Improve productivity and eliminate waste. Product Quality Work to maximize equipment efficiency and quality for output. Member of the facility QIC. Ensure identification of root cause and subsequent prevention of future customer complaints. Assist in the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications and process parameters. Significant experience with equipment troubleshooting and process design. Project Management Must be capable of successfully managing major process equipment projects (>$750k) on time and on budget. Managerial Must be capable of leading and/or supervising others in their role or in the execution of completing a project. Mentors less experienced engineers
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited university.
EXPERIENCE
Two to four years of related experience and/or training to include managing projects, troubleshooting, and improving equipt. Experience in both practical Process Engineering and Project Management is required. PLC experience is highly preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Understanding process variance and the resultant effects on Quality Knowledge of applied statistics preferred Ability to perform problem analysis utilizing problem-solving methodology.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $71,506.00 and $89,382.00 plus 15% bonus opportunity. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law. A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to have detailed knowledge of structural issues associated with new build, extensions, remodelling and refurbishment of all building types* Domestic / Commercial / Schools / Sports Centres / Care Homes) including historic and listed buildings.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Environmental and contaminated land and property assessments including undertaking desk-based studies and procuring specialist site investigations, advising on flood risk and drainage strategies and undertaking land profiling exercises
Manage demolition contracts and land remediation schemes from feasibility stage to completion of works on site.
Preparing briefs/requirements for suppliers to complete major capital schemes from site suitability assessments, structural design and detailing, drainage design to completion of works on site.
Structural design i.e. reinforced concrete, composite structure, timber, masonry and structural steel. Structural design and feasibility assessments. Structural surveys and investigations including stability and condition assessments.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require knowledge of traditional and system-built properties including general advice on maintenance and repair.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
A working knowledge of desk studies, site investigation
Long term monitoring and health and safety inspections of owned properties
Party Wall assessments and advice in accordance with the Party Wall Act
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 – £35 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
