Tenancy Sustainment Officer Slough 37.5 Hours (Shifts) £19 p/hA local authority in Slough are recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to carry a caseload of homeless individuals to sustain their current tenancy to prevent them from becoming homelessThe Role The primary focus of the Tenancy Sustainment Officer role is to support individuals in maintaining their tenancies and preventing homelessness by providing tailored short-term support, signposting to specialist services, and collaborating with multiple agencies to address complex needs. You will be anaging a caseload of around 30 cases - people who have been placed in accommodation, providing support to maintain their tenancies and keep them away from returning to the streets. The day-to-day role will include visiting client's residence and raising issues found at an early stage: Referring clients to other support agencies and organising MART meetings. Every now and then joining the outreach sessions together with a rough sleeper officer, building and maintaining a very good relationship with partner agencies, liaising with ASC, Police, Turning point, etc Reports directly to the Outreach coordinator. Assess and Develop Support Plans: Assess the support needs of vulnerable clients, create and regularly review tailored short-term support plans, and facilitate access to specialist services. Welfare and Benefits Support: Assist clients with applications for welfare benefits, appeals, and grant funding to manage financial crises and maintain tenancies. Multi-Agency Coordination: Arrange and chair multi-agency meetings to discuss and coordinate support for clients, ensuring effective communication and service delivery. Risk Management and Safeguarding: Conduct regular risk assessments, raise safeguarding alerts, and attend relevant case conferences to protect and support vulnerable clients. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of support plans and client interactions, ensuring compliance with data protection laws, and produce regular performance reports to demonstrate service effectiveness. The Candidate To be considered for this Tenancy Sustainment Officer role, you will require the following skills and experience: Experience in Housing Support: Significant experience in developing and delivering individual support plans in housing management, hostel environments, social care, resettlement, or related fields. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Proven ability to work with a variety of statutory and voluntary agencies to coordinate multi-agency meetings and interventions. Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in a problem-solving context, particularly in dealing with issues related to safeguarding and domestic abuse. The opportunity GSENZH is assembling a team to launch and manage the net-zero pilot programme across Manchester, West Midlands & York & North East Yorkshire Combined Authorities As Support Coordinator - Net Zero, you will report to the Local Net-Zero Accelerator (LNZA) Programme Lead and provide senior administrative support to the DESNZ Programme Board, DESNZ Green Finance Project Board, LNZA Programme Lead and the GSENZH Delivery Team. You will support the smooth and integrated running of the LNZA programme by coordinating diaries and activities that are shared across the team and acting as secretariat for internal/ external meetings. Providing support services to the LNZA Programme Lead, including diary management and key stakeholder liaison. Providing secretarial and administrative support for the respective Programme and Project Boards and any other groups set up, maintaining effective governance through coordinating governance and progress reporting activities across the team. Duties will include: Provide support to the LNZA Programme Lead with the coordination of Governance and reporting activities as well as liaising with support functions such as Procurement, HR, Finance and Legal.Support the diary management of the LNZA team and act as direct support to the LNZA Programme Lead.Support the LNZA team in the organisation and administration of stakeholder engagement activities to maximum effect.Provide capacity to the team, as required, on project delivery and contract management process.Ensure all minutes and actions of meetings are captured effectively and that a record of agreed actions and supporting documents are maintained and correctly filed.Be responsible for the administration of the DESNZ Programme Board and Green Finance Project Board, ensuring that the agendas follow the annual plan and are set in good time, ensuring that all papers are prepared, formatted, and distributed promptly.Provide secretariat support for the DESNZ programme board meetings which will be held quarterly no earlier than 10 days after the cycle of project boards to allow relevant reports to be written and circulated by projects to programme board members ahead of meetings.Provide comprehensive minutes of all DESNZ Programme Board and Green Finance Project Board meetings, capturing challenges, ideas and actions which arise from all meetings (with separate confidential minutes as required).Ensure that all decisions taken are communicated to the relevant parties and that actions are taken forward and implemented.Support the reporting of key performance indicators. They are seeking a Project Manager - Net-Zero, and the post holder will be embedded in the Local Net Zero Accelerator pilot project place undertaking intelligence gathering to capture processes and decisions on a day-to-day basis to inform and shape future support to public sector organisations. The post holder will have an excellent understanding of and experience in programme and project management processes, governance and decision-making processes and produce written work to a high standard, ensuring alignment with programme goals and requirements of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The pilot projects aim to develop place-based investment prospectuses containing aggregated bundles of projects across multiple net zero sectors. The GSENZH is responsible for oversight and management of the pilot as an independent Hub.
