HGV Yard Person. HuddersfieldA Specialist Vehicle Modification business requires an someone to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The company operates in clean modern facility and are leading players in their sector.
Due to company expansion, they require an organised individual , that will be responsible for all incoming deliveries of HGV Chassis that are brought to site. (Parking the vehicles in an organized fashion so they can be then utilized in the workshop when they need to be worked on and completing all relevant paperwork needed when accepting the deliveries, making sure keys are safe etc)
A HGV license is essential as the successful candidate will need to drive these vehicles on a daily basis.
Salary for the HGV Yard Person - £16p/h plus optional overtime paid at a premium
Hours/Days of work of the Yard Person role – Monday-Friday 45hrs per week (flexible shift pattern 6- 4pm or 7am – 5pm)

Duties of the Yard person role-
Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries
Ensure all chassis are maintained and organised correctly
Record, report and check all outbound/inbound vehicles
Reporting, in an auditable and transparent process any vehicle damage, onsite or on delivery of goods
Ensure the forecourt is kept tidy and coordinated
Ensure all chassis are maintained, identifiable (service no / stock no/ QC’d) and specifically located in the space around the production areas.
Requirements of the HGV Yardman candidate-
Hold current Class 1 or 2 HGV License (essential)
Have some form of coordination experience
Good organizational skills

The apprenticeship is based on site full time and no need for sitting in the classroom as plenty of practical opportunities.
