Equine Groom Apprenticeship

Brendon Stud have some seriously top-quality young horses in work, and you’ll get plenty of training and ring riding opportunities. Some affiliated experience is preferred as these are big, fit young competition horses including stallions. As an apprentice, you will be expected to complete all yard duties such as: Feeding Sweeping Harrowing arenas Mucking out Field maintenance Checking mares & field horses Must be confident handling horses as you will have to handle youngstock and stallions. Amazing opportunity for someone competent and capable. This is a job that will set you up to be able to successfully run your own yard in the future if that is something that you might want to look to do in the future. This is a modern yard to work at, with indoor stables and lunge arena, indoor and outdoor arenas, a show centre and saddlery shop on site. An on-site cafeteria open on show days too! Live in position available in a shared flat with all amenities, your own horse is welcome but sorry, no other pets. The apprenticeship is based on-site in a practical environment so there is not lots of time spent in the classroom. If you did not gain your GCSEs at school, we can support you to gain these whilst on programme.
