Overview
@mecscomms is recruiting for an experienced contract Enterprise Wireless Engineer to support the deployment, implementation and optimisation of secure enterprise wireless infrastructure within a large-scale network transformation programme.
This role focuses on Cisco Wireless technologies, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and secure wireless authentication, delivering enterprise Wi-Fi solutions across complex, multi-site environments.
The successful candidate will possess strong enterprise wireless engineering experience, combined with expertise in Cisco ISE, authentication technologies, network security and packet-level troubleshooting.

Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar role.
* Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
* Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
* Understanding of Active Directory user administration.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and wired/wireless network troubleshooting.
* Experience supporting printers and peripheral devices.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Good communication skills with the ability to support users effectively.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant IT qualification or apprenticeship.
* Previous experience within an IT support or Helpdesk role.
