We are looking for ambitious Surveyors at all levels to join our client’s growing Infrastructure teams in Scotland and the Northwest of England. Our client has grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancies and surveying advisory firms in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales. The infrastructure team was formed in 2015 and consists of 200 experts operating from nine offices across the UK. The team is experiencing an accelerated growth stage following the award of several major contracts within the north of England and Scotland and we are looking for ambitious new members to join them in the next stage of their exciting journey of growth in their Edinburgh and Warrington offices. The infrastructure team acts for a wide range of clients within the Infrastructure, Utility and Energy sectors. In the north of England and Scotland, they are delivering an expert service to clients such as National Grid Transmission, Cadent Gas, Scottish Power Energy Networks, Green Gen, Orsted, Network Rail and National Highways. Key Responsibilities As a Surveyor, your work each day will vary, you could be supporting with gaining consent for access across third party land, negotiating lease events, acquiring land and buildings, negotiating compensation claims, asset acquisitions and disposals, valuations and contributing to strategic land acquisition reports. You will undertake site visits, meet clients and colleagues, and attend public consultation events. Main tasks will include the following: Client facing professional advice in relation to valuation, acquisition and disposal of land and rights across a range of property types. Assessment of injurious affection claims for electricity clients.Client relationship management. Provide support to Partners in the team and manage your own workload effectively. Provide guidance and supervision to Graduate surveyors in the team. Take an active role in the development and implementation of efficient, ‘best practice’ internal systems and processes, optimising IT and other resources. Implementation of policy as required and ensuring legal compliance on all work carried out. Training, development and CPD needs will be discussed and supported. To be considered for Senior Surveyor level you will also require the following experience to be successful in your role: Negotiation of heads of terms, option agreements and voluntary agreements for land acquisition Develop and undertake new business/relationship opportunitiesLandowner and Stakeholder engagement.Negotiation of disturbance claims following works.Consents for access across third party land for works. Key Qualifications and Experience You will ideally be MRICS accredited or with experience within the utility, energy or infrastructure sectors. The role As an Electrician, you will be based in our workshop in Falmouth and your main responsibilities will be to assist our team with the construction, commissioning, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment within the company. This includes but is not limited to, Marine installations, Low voltage distribution systems, safety systems and control systems. The Electrician role is primarily located in the Falmouth based workshop but there are opportunities when required to travel to support our operations around the world. This will include the installation/ mobilisation of jack-up barges, offshore drills, subsea drills to project requirements and the general upkeep and maintenance involved to ensure smooth running and operation of the plant and equipment. The successful Electrician will work closely with the fitting and fabrication teams to ensure that plant and equipment delivered and maintained to a high specification following all organisational and company standards. You will also work with Mechanical Engineers and Technical engineers to ensure that plant and equipment is kept up and running with minimal down time and that maintenance schedules are upheld. You will work under the Electrical Supervisor on a day-to-day basis. If travelling to sites or vessels, you will work closely with the vessel crews and fall under the Deck Supervisors and/or Bargemaster. Who we’re looking for: As a Qualified Electrician, you will have the following: Strong heavy industry or marine background Approved electrical apprenticeship. NVQ level 3 electrical engineering City & guilds level 3 electrotechnical studies 18th edition Full clean UK driving license. Experience of 3 phase systems and motors / generators Experience with carrying out maintenance activities on electrical equipment. C&G 2391 would be desirable. Senior Marine Operations Engineer

The role As a Senior Marine Operations Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of marine surveys to include Metocean field engineering activities. The engineer will be the lead person managing the deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment, both moorings and subsea components while also acting as the offshore client liaison. The role of a Senior Marine Operations Engineer is varied and offers the opportunity to work on projects for offshore wind farms, renewable energy, and oil & gas. This position will suit experienced an aspiring party chief from a similar background, geophysical or seismic surveys who is looking for a more varied career. The projects range from one or two days to longer trips of up to four weeks with the potential to work all over the world. Our engineers are involved in a mixture of offshore and coastal vessels, drilling platforms and onshore installations. As no two projects are the same, you will need to be resourceful and flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Additionally, you will also be asked to add your experience to project planning. This role can be based out of our Wallingford, Oxfordshire office and Portchester, Hampshire office. This may also be an offshore role based on fixed number of days offshore for the right candidate. Who we’re looking for: Essential It is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role (deck operations on a vessel). Previous offshore experience on a variety of projects (or similar type work) and willing to work offshore for approximately 2 to 3 weeks at a time, within UK, Europe and Africa. Experience deployment of marine monitoring instrumentation equipment (or similar) and proficient in the setup and operation of commonly used sensors (training will be provided). Knowledge and understanding of lift plans. Good at problem solving, enjoy tackling technical challenges. The ability to work to strict deadlines within short notice changes. A systematic and methodical approach with a fine attention to detail. Excellent communication and language skills in English (reading, written and spoken). Full driving licence. Experience of Managing small teams Experience of acting as a client liaison Desirable BSc degree or above in oceanography, science, instrumentation, engineering, electrical or mechanical. Understand the principles of real-time data, data acquisition and data QC and are proficient in the use of software.
