Estimator needed in Leeds. The Estimator will lead on the estimation of projects.Key tasks include:
Deal with incoming enquiries.
Liaise & negotiate with sub-trades to receive competitive prices.
Liaise with clients’ engineers, architects, other designers and internal divisions/departments.
Produce accurate reports on status of enquiries and pipeline.
Produce reports and content for pre-tender interviews and post tender presentations
Develop client and consultant relationships.
Person Specification:
Building construction knowledge.
Good level of structural and civil engineering knowledge.
Accurate interpretation of drawings and technical specifications.
Can demonstrate pricing of structural steel projects.
Be able to price a job on demand (using experience).
Plan, control and report on enquiries.
Previous experience of dealing with contractors, engineers, architects and who they are.
Commercial awareness of economic construction techniques.
Experience of operating to an ISO 9001 quality system.
Understanding of costing processes.
Previous experience of operating in a similar company/environment/across similar projects.
