Key Responsibilities:
* Calibration & Testing: Conduct emissions, roller brake tester calibrations and head lamp tester calibrations, performing tests and making adjustments to ensure compliance with DVSA and VOSA standards.
* Data Analysis: Analyse test data and provide recommendations for calibration adjustments to achieve optimal emissions performance.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with relevant emissions regulations, maintaining thorough knowledge of DVSA and VOSA guidelines and updates.
* Documentation: Prepare detailed records and reports of calibration work, tests, and adjustments, supporting compliance audits and assessments.
* Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments with software calibration methods, and environmental engineering.
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement findings and integrate new calibrations into product development and testing. Please note that this is an apprenticeship position and therefore anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a software tester or who holds an ISTQB foundation certificate will not be eligible.
You will also need to commit to completing a Level 4 Software Testing Apprenticeship.
About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Test Engineer, this role will play a key part in the development of a smart and scalable platform which will support the innovation in software development to ensure GivEnergy remain ahead of the market and can deliver on their mission to empower energy freedom for all! You will be working across all elements of their stack to produce the best control software and reporting systems possible for their inverter, battery & EV charging systems.

• Keeping the workshop clean and tidy• Using the tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance and repair• Learning safe working procedures in the workshop• Assisting other technicians with their work whilst receiving on the job training• Learning how to service a vehicle and safely remove and replace engine, chassis, electrical and transmission components• Learning simple and complex fault diagnosis and repairs on engine, chassis, transmission and electrical systems
