Specific Requirements:
• Assume control of "QC Approved" materials from Receiving Department, storing them in the appropriate bin location • Accumulate material needed to make a specific batch of Work in Process • Enter the lot numbers for each accumulated raw material into the BaaN System under the appropriate batch number • Maintain inventory control area in a neat and orderly fashion • Perform cycle counts as directed by the Purchasing and/or Production Departments. Adjust system inventory at the direction of above departments • Perform physical inventory as required by StonCor/Stonhard management • Change inventory bin locations and/or minimum and maximum quantities as directed by the Purchasing Department
Background Requirements:

Production Operators / Assembly Operatives ideally with prior electronics, electrical or mechanical assembly experience in a production / manufacturing environment are required for a full time ongoing-contract / temp to perm position in Skelmersdale / Wigan area. Rate of pay is £11.75/hr PAYE (in effect £12.38/hr due to paid lunches) working approx. 37 hours - Mon to Thur, 07:30am-5:15pm & occasional Friday’s 07:30-1:30pm and will lead to a permanent role if the candidate performs well in the role.

The Role:
As the Production Operative you will be primarily responsible for basic wiring, assembling (screwing fixing) etc. Some of the parts are very intricate and will require good dexterity in a medium paced production environment.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
Raw material and finished goods are managed in such a way to ensure minimum losses
Utilising Kanban and Stock Control systems effectively. To participate in the re-order cycle when Kanban triggers are reached
Participating in training activities both as a recipient of training, and to provide training to other operators
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Production Operative role will have relevant assembly experience under ISO 9001 or similar quality standard.
In addition, you'll need at least 2 GCSE’s, including Mathematics and English or equivalent as a minimum, NVQ Manufacturing qualification (desirable).

Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Technician at our Research Facility in St. Louis, MO. This person will assist the Research and Development laboratory group in developing, modifying and evaluating corrosion resistant protective coatings, linings, fireproofing, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine lab projects, do quality control testing, grade test panels, perform paint calculations and maintain lab book notes under the guidance of a supervisor.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-year college Chemistry or 1-3 years Lab experience.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 pounds; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds. Personal protective equipment would be utilized. Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA.
Essential Functions:
Use laboratory instruments and equipment and follow established testing procedures. Enter organized, neat, and accurate entries into laboratory notebooks. Grade test panels according to established procedures. Gather information or data in reference to trouble reports. Be familiar with routine laboratory computer functions such as report writing, formula calculations, graphics programs and inventory searching, specific for individual laboratory areas. Write project reports in cooperation with supervisor. Be familiar with the location, use and understand Material Safety Data Sheets with respect to raw materials and finished goods. Understand and comply with safety procedures and practices in effect. Learn how to apply coatings by spray, roller and brush. Possess interpersonal skills necessary to interface, in a positive manner, with peers, supervisors, and other departments. Be able to manufacture, and evaluate quality control tests of, lab scale batches of paint according to prescribed formulas. Additional duties and responsibilities as specified by supervisors. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations and immediately reporting all injuries and incidents to your supervisor. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Position Summary: A Process Technician is responsible for mixing and packaging in-process and finished goods inventory.
Specific Requirements:
Stage and prepare all raw materials associated with production batches. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the batch making and packaging areas, with active engagement in positive safety behavior Communicates (gives a heads up) low levels of raw material to supervisory staff. Develops good working knowledge of all batch making and packaging processes. Maintains a good working relationship with Quality Control. Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join their growing team on a permanent contract.
As the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, you will have a key focus on front-line maintenance and will be required to help coordinate the engineering departments' daily and weekly prioritization, scheduling, and preparations of workload. The post holder will be responsible for all day-to-day electrical, instrumentation, and some control systems maintenance activities associated with the paper machine, Stock Prep plant, the winder, and its transport system.
Duties include:

- Working closely with the Production Superintendents, Shift Production Managers, and E&I and Mechanical colleagues as the E&I engineering lead contact for day-to-day and immediate machine problems.
- Taking evaluation of morning production meeting problems to the engineering team so that they plan and coordinate the resolution.
- All equipment contained within the PM9 machine house except for those under a specialist service contract, although there may be times when they will need support, direction, or some involvement from the Engineering team.
- Take responsibility for the Electrical & Instrumentation area of the engineering workshops, including the test room, PAT testing, workbenches, and the general condition of the working area in line with 5S principles.
- Use SAP MM for BOM and spare part information.
What we are looking for:
- A Competent Electrical Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, or
working towards an Electrical Degree or equivalent.

Perform all in-house QC testing on incoming raw materials, raw samples and /or finished products, working with minimal supervision. Receive instruction and guidance from QC Chemists and management. I&C engineer and supported by I&C technician team. Responsible for the design and review of all I&C equipment and instruments for the Plant. Explore solutions to production problems or improve efficiency with maintenance and operators. Run experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes, and become familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. Work and coordinate activities with the other engineering disciplines, Process, Project and Environmental. Prepare, review and/or approve of instrument specification data sheets and submit purchase requisitions for approval. Prepare equipment lists, instrument index, I/O lists. Review process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs). Meet with plant technical staff to discuss technical information and features. Ensure drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Participate in failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and Process Hazard analysis (PHA) to consider equipment, personnel, and environmental safety. Knowledge of capital approval process and project justification required. Be involved in the design and development of equipment and work procedures. Be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating process hazard analysis. Ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preferred, 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Schematic and panel layout design using CAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical) experience. Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems. Expertise in National Electrical Code requirements in industrial facilities and hazardous locations. Proven understanding of integrating instrumentation with data acquisition hardware. Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment. Familiar with industrial sensors and actuators; pressure, temperature, accelerometers, motor controllers, flow meters, relays, strain gauges, valves, and pumps. Strong technical and non-technical writing and verbal skills Able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and/or scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
