Learn to set, operate and adjust/edit equipment settings.
Use a range of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices in the correct and safe way.
Be trained in the use of different methods of measuring accuracy and tolerances, using gauges and micrometres.
Training:Apprentices will undertake a Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard programme.
This will include a full-time period of practical workshop-based ‘off-the-job’ training at the SETA’s Apprenticeship Centre in Southampton.
You will also begin a technical certificate (depending on your prior attainments), where you will be required to attend SETA one day a week over two academic years. Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our client's team, who is responsible for developing test requirements, creating test instructions, and testing PCBs, assemblies, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and measurement technology, with practical experience in handling measuring equipment and a good understanding of radio frequency and power engineering.
Main Responsabilities:
Development of test requirements and new test methods in collaboration with the development department
Creation of test instructions and test reports
Testing, repairing (requires e.g. soldering skills) and commissioning of PCB’s, assemblies and systems as well as participation in tests in the test field
Checking production orders and goods receipt material according to quality characteristics
Perform factory inspections with customers
Management of measuring equipment storage
Construction of test facilities for the rationalization of test procedures
Required Competencies:
Completed technical training in the direction of electronics/measurement technology, technician school, an advantage
Practical experience in handling measuring equipment
Knowledge of radio frequency and power engineering is an advantage
