OverviewOur key employer-partner is searching for a Senior Software Developer capable of contributing to high-availability, low-latency, mission-critical platforms, and we are looking to attract someone with experience across Rust, C++, Python, and telecoms/media systems.
This role is ideal for engineers with a strong systems mindset who enjoy ownership, architecture, and solving complex distributed systems challenges.
Key Responsibilities:* Develop high-performance components in Rust, C++, and/or Python.
* Build distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant systems supporting real-time communications.
* Implement telecom protocols (SIP, VoIP, DECT), audio/video pipelines, or streaming systems.
* Contribute to containerized microservices deployed via Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
* Lead system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
* Design and maintain internal/external APIs and integration layers.
* Optimise code for latency, throughput, resilience, and system stability.
* Work with modern DevOps tooling (CI/CD, observability, metrics dashboards).
Required Skills:* Experience with one or more of the following languages:
* Rust
* C++
* Python
* Strong understanding of distributed systems, high-availability engineering, or telecom/media systems.
* Experience working with protocols such as MQTT, ZMQ, WebRTC, SIP, or real-time streaming technologies.
* Hands-on experience with containerisation and deployment tooling.
* Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimisation capabilities.
Nice to Have:* FFMPEG, audio/video pipelines.
* Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP).
* API development with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
* Systems-level debugging tools (Wireshark, Prometheus, Grafana).

As an Apprentice Audio Technician, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on large-scale productions involving Public Address systems, Media Interview setups, Music Stages, Radio Microphones, Digital Mixing Consoles, and Dante audio networks.
This role combines real-world, on-site technical experience with structured off-the-job training delivered by Blue Lion Training Academy, giving you the professional foundation to build a successful career in live event audio engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will:
Assist with setup, testing, and operation of live event audio systems, including PA systems, press conference setups, and stage monitoring.
Support Media Interview zones, ensuring clean, reliable audio capture and distribution for broadcasters and journalists.
Learn to configure and operate Digital Mixing Consoles and networked audio systems using Dante.
Prepare and maintain Radio Microphone and IEM systems, ensuring frequency coordination and interference-free operation.
Help rig and de-rig music stages, commentary positions, and public address zones at major sporting venues.
Assist with signal routing, troubleshooting, and system calibration under live conditions.
