Job roles and responsibilities:
Take part in all the production aspects of the projects in the office
Produce draft design drawings for projects
Drawing up plans using computer-aided design and building information modelling software
Carry out design calculations for checking and approval
Compile tender packages including drawings and specifications
Ensure Safety, Health and Environment procedures are implemented
Site visits and surveys
General office duties
Training:At the end of the Apprenticeship, you will gain a Building Services Design Engineer (degree), Level: 6. This will be undertaken at London Southbank University as a day release.Training Outcome:At the end of the Apprenticeship, you will have attained a degree qualification with the option to gain further accreditation from industry recognised professional engineering associations.Employer Description:Venables Associates provides technical support on all aspects of Building Services Engineering, Design, Commissioning and Maintenance Management.

As a Software Engineer degree apprentice, you'll learn how to be accountable for the undertaking and completion of the analysis of software engineering business issues for either the entire requirement or subset thereof dependent on complexity and/or scope size
You'll be instrumental in implementing Glue's software solutions, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size and technology into the environment required (including systems test, user test environment, or live environment as appropriate)
You'll be directly involved in the creation of an over-arching software solution design suitable to resolving our clients' business issues for either the entire requirement or a subset thereof dependent on complexity and/or scope size
You'll assist in building our software solutions, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size, and technology
As you grow in your role on our team, you may also be required to supervise the work of more junior team members undertaking work in the software solution life-cycle
As a Software Engineer, you'll test that the software solution, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size and technology meets the business needs identifying any remedial actions required
You will work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure the software solution or part thereof, dependent on complexity and scope size, is understood and correctly used
You'll facilitate ongoing support of our software solutions or part thereof, dependent on complexity and technology, e. g. by troubleshooting, reverse engineering and conducting root cause analysis
As a Software Engineer degree apprentice, you'll learn how to apply engineering principles to all stages of the software development process, from requirements, analysis and design, development and data requirements
You will typically work as part of a large collaborative team and will have responsibility for significant elements of software solutions
Training:
This BSc degree apprenticeship will be delivered as a three-years course at Queen Mary University London
You will attend lectures, seminars, labs and tutorials during your on campus days
Your on campus requirement will be one day per week plus one week sprint teaching each semester
Training Outcome:
Following your degree apprenticeship, there will be a strong possibility of continuing your employment at Reply in a permanent capacity
