IT Systems Engineer
Job Description: Our client is looking to appoint an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join its IT team on a temporary basis. As well as business as usual activities, the team has upgrades and new projects on its road map, so there may be scope to extend the assignment. You will assist and mentor support technicians, providing 2nd and 3rd line support to the business. You will deal with both technical and non-technical colleagues, so an understanding, empathetic and patient approach is important. Skills/Experience: Experience as a Systems Engineer, with commercial experience of managing large installations of macOS and iOS devices. In-depth knowledge of macOS and iOS, and experience with device management tools. Experience with Apple hardware management tools (ideally Jamf) Significant experience using Google Workspace Significant experience running corporate networks and WiFi. Experience in a previous IT support role. An understanding, empathetic and patient approach to working with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You will help lead incident response, develop the team’s defensive capability and help shape the Security Operations roadmap in line with the wider strategy. Test Lead
Reporting to the Head of Testing & Quality Assurance within the Change function, you will provide QA leadership across a portfolio of projects and change initiatives, owning the planning, coordination, governance and delivery of business-led testing – including UAT, Regression Testing and Pre- and Post-Deployment Verification Testing. A new QA Framework, and the tools that support it, is being built now. You will have a clear foundation to work from, and a real voice in how those standards and tools evolve over the next 12 months as the framework is embedded across the business. This is a role for a self-starter. You will be trusted to own your deliverables across multiple projects at once, working independently within the framework, keeping stakeholders informed and knowing when to seek support or escalate. With further Test Lead appointments planned in the near future, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing QA function at the very start. The Information Security Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management of information and cyber security across the business. The role provides oversight, assurance and guidance relating to information assets, technology platforms, cloud services, third-party providers and business processes to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of corporate and client information in line with legal, regulatory and business requirements. Good background in information management, with clear understanding of the challenges of information and IT security. An excellent knowledge of relevant information security standards and practices. Solid technical knowledge and experience of security technologies (e.g. endpoint protection, mobile security, data protection, cloud security) and cyber security capabilities (SIEM, SOC, CERT, vulnerability management, threat intelligence). Strong knowledge of the main information security standards and frameworks (in particular ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus). A good understanding of, and experience in, implementing information security within cloud-based environments. Experience and skills in the project management of corporate information security projects. Demonstrated leadership abilities that energise multi-discipline work teams to respond to business needs. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain information security in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding across the organisation.
