GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The General Contracting (GC) Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the General Contracting business (including GC and larger-scale P&R, TremCares, etc.) within the assigned region. This will involve working with Construction Managers, CM Associates, Project Managers, Service Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, GC Superintendents, Tremco Sales Representatives, Owners, and Subcontractors to ensure projects are performed safely, meet customers' expectations, conform to contractual obligations, and meet financial objectives. With a working base of the head office in Doncaster, the candidate will initially travel to a Halifax site daily (fuel costs paid) and will undertake a multi-faceted and varied role with duties as follows:
Apply and integrate appropriate mathematical and technical knowledge in the completion of built environment site and/or office processes to contribute to the coordination of construction projects

The Controls Engineering apprentice is a key member of the Controls Team and vital in the continued successful delivery of our projects. Apprentices will learn all aspects of Controls Engineering and form part of project teams.
Apprentices will work in close conjunction with Mechanical, Electrical and Systems Engineers, to successfully deliver projects. Responsibilities:
Year 1: Participate in the apprenticeship program, studying and gaining practical experience in different areas of the FORTNA International Business.
Years 2-4: Assist with cost estimates, draft documentation, create PLC programs, and commission systems.
