As an Apprentice Laboratory Technician, your main duties will include:
Providing support in the X-ray analytical facilities

Alongside supporting day-to-day recruitment activity, you will develop a strong understanding of how recruitment data, reporting and dashboards are maintained and used to support decision-making across the team.
This is a developmental opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience across Talent Acquisition operations while building skills, confidence and understanding of how a modern in-house recruitment function works. The role plays an important part in creating a seamless candidate journey and maintaining high standards of organisation, communication and process support across the team.
The successful individual will be highly organised, proactive and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in people and recruitment. They will bring strong attention to detail, a positive approach and a willingness to support a range of activities across both operational and data-related aspects of Talent Acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Support interview scheduling and coordination across a range of roles, ensuring interviews are arranged efficiently and professionally.
Help manage candidate communications, ensuring updates are timely, clear and aligned to a positive candidate experience.
Maintain accurate information within the applicant tracking system, supporting strong ATS data integrity and process compliance.
Assist with offer administration and related recruitment documentation.
Provide administrative support across the Talent Acquisition function, helping to keep processes organised and running smoothly.
Support the preparation of recruitment reports, dashboards and trackers, including contributing to weekly updates.
Assist with the administration and distribution of dashboards to the Talent Acquisition team and wider People team.
Assist with recruitment marketing activity, including job posting, campaign support and coordination of attraction materials.
Work closely with the wider Talent Acquisition team to support hiring activity across multiple business areas.
Help ensure recruitment processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed standards and timelines.
Contribute to a professional and welcoming candidate journey through strong organisation and attention to detail.
Support the coordination of meetings, interviews, assessment activity or other Talent Acquisition events where needed.
Build knowledge of Talent Acquisition systems, processes, reporting and best practice through on-the-job learning and apprenticeship development.
Take an active role in learning and development opportunities, building capability and confidence across both operations and data within Talent Acquisition.
Training:
You will achieve the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.
There are 8 online workshops you will need to attend.
You will have a mentor for one to one teaching and learning.
In-house training will be given to support specifics of the role.

You will be working towards an Advanced Diploma Early Years

You will need to attend online training with your assessor for 1 day a week for the first 8 weeks of your 14-month apprenticeship, for your classroom-based learning, and you will be working within the nursery for the rest of the time with the support of your dedicated childcare assessor
You will complete a qualification in paediatric first aid
