A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative
As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.
Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.

Audit the Inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The WTI Commercial Façade Foreman is responsible for the oversite and performance of safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI Commercial Building Envelope business. Safety is our number one priority and will be embedded into every discussion, meeting, and project. As the clear and established leader of the WTI crew, the WTI Foreman is focused on safety, crew management, and efficient execution of all WTI Projects assigned to them. Travel will be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively administers and enforces Company safety policy and program to minimize accidents affecting employees, the public, and property. This includes responsibility for conducting safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures, including: Conduct the daily on-site safety brief with all on-site project personnel (Sales Rep, Customer, WTI Supt & Crew, etc.) prior to the start of the WTI project. Inspect and ensure the safety of surroundings, equipment, and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit it to the Supervisors as applicable. Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project. This includes but is not limited to communication with: Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule WTI crew members to discuss the scope of work and daily tasks The customer prior to arrival, upon arrival, and upon completion of daily work WTI Supervisor on safety, schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc. Efficient project management to include managing crew start and end times, production rates, and ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope of work, design, and specification of contract and engineering documents. Complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walkthrough to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site. Before-and-after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep, and information will be included in daily project status reports. These items will include detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases, all recorded daily. Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas. This responsibility includes job start-up, job execution in accordance with contract specifications, job shutdown, and manpower scheduling, all consistent with the planned costs of the job. Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands. This responsibility also includes laying off personnel, disciplinary action, employee assistance, and handling union matters relative to employees. Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. Responsible for the tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains the highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting a positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e., OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. Manage, monitor, and document the performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues. Consult with the WTI Commercial Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. Contributes to operations by supplying accurate and timely job information, including daily job logs, job file documentation, and compiling information for billing the customer. Provides management with the earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and purchasing of company equipment, materials, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Supervisor. You will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator programme, this consists of –
Use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to write letters or emails, perform financial processes, record and analyse data.
Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, database management.
Maintains records and files, in compliance with the organisation's internal policies and procedures.
Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.
Completes tasks to a high standard. Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks and applies themselves to continuously improve their work.
Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines.
Organises meetings and events, takes minutes during meetings, and creates action logs as appropriate. Takes responsibility for logistics e.g., travel and accommodation.
Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report.
As part of the programme, you will undertake a business project based on your apprenticeship, which will ensure you can apply your skills in a setting which can add value to your learning, your role, and your employer.
Successful completion of the end-point assessment (EPA) will lead to final certification of the apprenticeship.
