About the team:
The Supervising Social Worker will work within an Independent Fostering Agency, supporting foster carers, children and young people to ensure safe, stable and positive placements are maintained. The team works closely with foster families, birth families, professionals and external agencies to complete assessments, provide supervision and support, monitor placement stability and promote positive outcomes for children in care. This is a varied role suited to a confident Children’s Social Worker with strong safeguarding knowledge and experience within fostering or looked after children services.
About you:
A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 2-year experience is essential to be considered for this role. Experience working in a Fostering Service lends well to the success of this position.

You will be responsible for:

What we are looking for:
* Previously worked as an Assistant Manager, Childrens Home Deputy Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant care Manager, Assistant home Manager, Deputy care Manager, Deputy home Manager, Childrens Residential Team Leader, Team Leader, Senior Residential Support Worker, Senior Support Worker or in a similar role.
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience working within a children's residential home or children's services environment.
* Experience supervising or supporting a team within a children's residential care setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Experience supporting staff teams and contributing to effective care delivery.
* Understanding of children's home regulations, care standards and safeguarding procedures.
* Experience or understanding of trauma-informed care would be beneficial.
* IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft applications.
* Full UK driving licence.
