Coach Core's vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.
The Community Activator Coach role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community, and as an apprentice coach at Youth Moves, you will be working In open access youth clubs, schools and detached settings to use your skills as a sports coach and assist in the provision of a fun, balanced and inclusive programme of personal and social education opportunities that meets the needs of young people.
Key Job Outcomes
· To promote and encourage the participation of young people by establishing contact and giving support
· To promote equal opportunities in the provision of the youth service and take positive steps to counter discrimination.
· To assist the team in planning, delivering and evaluating the youth work programme, so that it achieves agreed outcomes.
· To provide practical assistance to the Youth Worker in charge/ Senior Youth Worker by contributing to the planning and delivery of a programme of activities that generates interest among the target group
What your apprenticeship includes:
- A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress.
- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars.
- Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer.
- The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE).
You will work towards your Community Activator Coach Level 2 qualification over the course of 12-18 monthsTraining:Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship L2 including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
