The Role – Desktop Liability Adjuster/Liability Claims Handler:This is a technical, customer-facing role, the prime purpose of which is to conduct investigations to establish both policy and legal liability and to settle claims on behalf of our Insurer and Corporate clients.The role requires involvement in third party injury and/or public liability property damage claims of differing values, working both independently and under referral. Serve a diverse patient population across northern Tasmania, covering public and private sectors.
Take part in elective and acute surgeries, outpatient clinics, and provide essential consultative services to other specialty units.
Engage actively in research, quality assurance, and teaching programs, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in patient care.
Mentor and support Registrars and Residents, including involvement in SET Registrar training and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Benefits
Competitive Salary: $210,000 - $301,349 per annum, pro rata, plus 11.5% superannuation and salary packaging.
Allowances: $28,389 motor vehicle allowance and $16,480 continuing professional development allowance per annum, pro rata.
Relocation Support: Up to $15,000 available for eligible candidates to assist with relocation and commencement.
Requirements
Specialist Registration: Must hold AHPRA Specialist registration as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Eligibility for International Medical Graduates (IMG): IMGs with recognised overseas specialist qualifications who meet experience requirements are encouraged to apply.
Working with Children Registration: Required, where applicable.
