Lead the development, scale-up and introduction of new products and manufacturing processes from laboratory through to production.
Plan, conduct and assess laboratory investigations, plant trials and process studies to support process development and optimisation.
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Drive improvements in process safety, product quality, yield, throughput, efficiency and manufacturing cost.
Track and communicate key production performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide site-wide technical and chemistry expertise to support manufacturing performance.
Implement process changes by working closely with operators and technical teams, providing training and ensuring new or revised procedures are accurately documented within standard operating procedures
Experience and Qualifications required from Process Chemist:
Demonstrable experience within chemical manufacturing, process development, industrial R&D or a closely related technical environment.
Experience supporting the development and introduction of new products or manufacturing processes is desirable.
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, processes and production environments.
Experience applying process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance.

The Opportunity
