Fully understand the whole supply chain, particularly shipping/import/export issues, to identify opportunities to streamline processes, and reduce costs and lead times
Provide analysis of and identify supply chain risks develop scenarios and mitigation plans to discuss and agree with management
Develop thorough understanding of supplier capacities/product lead times, to ensure accurate planning of production that maximises supplier efficiency and order fulfilment, at lowest overall cost to Fine
Key point of contact between Morocco and overseas suppliers regarding availability of raw materials and expediting deliveries
Close liaison with suppliers to highlight any potential problems/bottlenecks at earliest opportunity, and alerting management to any changes that could jeopardise service levels immediately, for resolution
Make recommendations for performance improvement, and implement, in conjunction with SCM, to maintain and increase competitiveness, and obtain maximum value from suppliers
Update systems to ensure most accurate, up-to-date logistics information is available at all times, and that all internal customers are aware
Month-end review/reconciliation of all finished goods and stock to maximise opportunities to ship/invoice goods to customers, and for financial reporting
Advice on freight cost options and maintenance of cost matrices, including updating costing system for quotation purposes

Your role will see you selecting the optimal NDT method and conducting tests on parts – so be ready for practical experiments, project planning, resource control, problem solving and gaining technical know-how. You’ll also learn how we use NDT in research and development along with the state-of-the-art technologies that enable us to rapidly detect defects, increase our throughput and reduce costs.
You’ll complete a variety of placements across our business, which will give you practical experience in various NDT methods. You can also expect to spend some time in our offices, solving technical issues and running projects to help our internal customers. Throughout, you’ll study for a BEng (Hons) NDT Degree at the University of Northampton. These studies will help you get to grips with the Maths, Electronics and Physics behind the methods you’re using. Some modules will be delivered residentially at Northampton University while others will be delivered via distance learning. Training:Non-Destructive Testing is used across a wide variety of sectors and relies heavily on Physics and Maths. Your apprenticeship will give you exposure across our business as you learn how to use NDT to find surface and internal defects in a variety of materials.
Across four years, you’ll spend time building your practical and theoretical knowledge of X-rays (radiography), ultrasonics, eddy currents, magnetic particle inspection and fluorescent penetrant inspection, undertaking training courses in these five main NDT methods. They require a GNC Systems Team Lead to lead the overall design and verification of the Guidance, Navigation, Computer Vision, and Control subsystem for future missions.
The GNC systems require both standard and bespoke GNC & Computer Vision algorithms and hardware, which need to be integrated together and with the wider satellite bus. This is cutting- edge, very complex, innovative and forms some of the companys most important intellectual property.

Responsibilities for the GNC Systems Team Lead:
- Drive development of GNC systems (requirements, FDIR, V&V strategy etc.) ensuring integration of GNC algorithms, Computer Vision algorithms and GNC Hardware for missions.
- Drive the logical integration of the technical GNC subsystem work packages, including subsystem development and verification plans.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines in the planning, design and development of mission/system to ensure required GNC subsystem performance and compatibility.
- Plan and execute GNC subsystem verification and test activities.
- Drive GNC subsystems review gates and contribute to mission review gates.
- Conduct state-of-the-art research into GNC (hardware and algorithm) designs and perform subsystem level design and trade-off analysis.
- Support GNC algorithm development for missions.
- Support development of GNC software architecture, with designs leading towards an overall GNC software solution.
- Liaise with customers and/or suppliers to characterize GNC system constraints/requirements, identify and/or present the technical GNC solution.
- Lead the team to deliver GNC related specifications, analysis, and verification activities.
- Mentoring the team and providing expert technical feedback.
Experience required by the GNC Systems Team Lead:
- Masters degree in aerospace engineering or another relevant engineering/science discipline.
- 5+ years relevant experience in a GNC related field.
- Hands on experience of most of the following:
- Development of GNC systems
- GNC requirement derivation and verification
- Design and implementation of control laws and navigation algorithms.
- Theoretical knowledge of guidance strategies for RPO missions.
- Translating algorithms into operational flight software.
- GNC hardware integration and test
- Previous experience in leading commercial engineering teams.
- Matlab/Simulink development skills (desirable).
- C/C++ software development and/or Embedded software development skills (desirable).
