Our Finance Degree Apprenticeship is designed as an entry level role into the Accountancy arena; you will study towards your CIMA qualification whilst doing a real job and earning a competitive salary from day one.
Through the five year scheme you will complete both a level 4 and level 7 apprenticeship working towards being fully CIMA qualified by the end of year 5. This will be alongside rotating through several teams in the function ensuring you cover off all core areas of Finance throughout the scheme. The Engineering Rigger Advanced Apprenticeship encompasses the lifting, moving and positioning of loads during engineering construction projects. On our Sheet Metal Worker Apprenticeship, you'll be trained in the fabrication and installation of various components that are used to outfit our products.
The role of Sheet Metal Worker includes working from planned drawings to fabricate and install components to outfit a vessel in areas ranging from the Engine Room to Kitchen Galley. As a Sheet Metal worker you will be using various types of hand tools such as: jigsaws, dividers, scribers etc., and will also be trained to use various large pieces of machinery ranging from a manual folding machine to the latest hi-tech computer aided machine laser.

As a Radiography apprentice, you will join a highly experienced team working across a number of manufacturing facilities. You will learn about radiography testing methods both on the job and through gaining personal certification in non-destructive testing methods. This role is approximately 80% practical and 20% desk based.
You will be involved in preparing work areas for radiography testing and carrying out Radiography in custom build enclosures and on-board submarines in build, as well as the analysis and interpretation of the results.
You will also assist and gain qualifications in additional Non-Destructive Examination technical skills such Dye Penetrant inspection. This method is used to detect surface breaking defects in steel and supplements Radiography inspection.

The Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme (EDAS) in Aerospace, is a five year scheme. The EDAS Aerospace Degree Apprenticeship covers a wide range of engineering branches required to design, develop, build and maintain modern advanced aircraft.

During the varied three-year Supply Chain Higher Apprenticeship programme, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on business-critical projects. The role within Dimensional Control is based on core industrial engineering and metrology knowledge, working in an industry leading metrology team. Supporting all facilities and systems in order to produce quality products.
You will work across all major build evolutions providing predictive set up and provide advice to all build teams on critical alignment activities to ensure the product meets design intent.
Using the latest portable metrology hardware and software, you will gather product data before analysing using CAD and engineering drawings to create reports and advise on optimal positions or highlight any potential problems well in advance of the actual build evolution.
The role works between Engineering and Operations and interprets Engineering outputs, such as drawings and CAD models, tooling and documentation enabling Operations to undertake the build of the submarines efficiently and effectively.

During the Maritime Mechanical Fitter Advanced Apprenticeship, you will develop a range of different engineering skills and underpinning knowledge to successfully complete this apprenticeship. Throughout your Apprenticeship you will gain valuable experience working on maritime vessels which will culminate in you completing your End Point Assessment.

The scheme is typically 30 months in duration and consists of 15 months residential training at the Maintenance Academy situated at Humberside Airport, followed by 15 months vocational training undertaken at a BAE Systems or RAF site in the UK.
Due to the residential element of the apprenticeship, successful candidates must be at least 18 years of age when they commence the apprenticeship. We encourage suitably qualified candidates of any age to apply for this apprenticeship; however, please note that if you will not be 18 years of age when the apprenticeship commences then your application will be considered for a future intake of apprentices.
The first phase of training is spent working towards your City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Qualifications which is a mix of theory, practical tasks in avionic and mechanical workshops and also time spent on aircraft simulated tasks. Followed by Platform Placement Training to prepare you for your vocational training.
