KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Production Technician will be varied dependent on which team you join, however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. To adhere to cGMP and H&S standards, including hygiene, environmental control and safe working practices within the production environment.
2. To ensure that manufacturing equipment is used in compliance with any maintenance, calibration and validation requirements.
3. Help co-ordinate the activities of the section including the liaising with other sections when required.
4. To develop skills which will enable reviews of SOPs, BPRs and related documentation as required by the Team Leader.

Average working week (following the year off the job training) - Working within the Mechanical department undertaking reactive and planned maintenance tasks, which primarily aim to keep the safe manufacturing of paper at the site.
Planned Routine Tasks - Undertake planned maintenance tasks on a wide variety of Mechanical elements of the machine.
Reactive Maintenance - Within a team, investigate faults and issues with the paper production process, create and plan solutions for the issues that have arisen and safely carry out any necessary repairs.

Training Outcome:Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, we would expect the apprentice to embark on a HNC course which will be funded by the Organisation.
