Key Accountabilities of the Machine operator
Carry out work tasks delegated by the Team Leader / Production Manager in accordance with SOP’s , instructions and Quality Standards.
Ensure all paperwork and documentation is filled out correctly.
Abide by all the health and safety requirements.
Raise any Health and Safety Issues.
Key experience required for the Machine operator
Ideally machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential.
Computer literacy is a distinct advantage, but not essential. Training in the use of in-house computer systems if required will be provided.
Must be able to work shifts.

Contractual Hours of Work – 39hrs
Monday to Thursday Morning Shift 5.50am to 2.00pm
Monday to Thursday Afternoon Shift 1.50pm to 10.00pm

As our Production Associate, you will help Rust-Oleum deliver our products on time by operating, monitoring, and adjusting filling and packaging equipment to safely produce high-quality products while maintaining efficiency, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring accurate production records.
TASKS PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management.
Change over or adjust equipment to improve performance and quality, using knobs, hand wheels, and/or hand tools.
Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener.
Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances.
Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements. May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged.
Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met.

Ensure accurate counts of labels used and scrapped; and ensure appropriate inventory transactions are completed.
