Responsibilities
Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring project progress to ensure timelines and outcomes are met.
Coordinate project resources and schedules, ensuring that all team members are informed and supported throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and address any issues that arise promptly.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and meeting notes, for reference and accountability.
Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas, share updates, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Support project managers in evaluating project risks and identifying mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Help in tracking project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial accountability and optimal resource allocation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and build relationships.
Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Trello.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems as they arise.

After the initial 12-month training period, you’ll move to the End Point Assessment (EPA) phase for the final three months of the programme. During this time, you’ll complete a portfolio of evidence showcasing your work and skills

By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll be well-prepared to step into the role of a Logistics Co-Ordinator at one of our warehouse or transport offices, with a competitive salary exceeding £30,000. In this role, you’ll have the chance to build on your experience and continue advancing your skills

Handling of inbound sales calls with a professional attitude always.
Monitor the Info inbox under the guidance of the Senior Coordinator, ensuring that all enquiries are actioned and filed accordingly within the agreed KPI timeframe.
Chase outstanding PO’s, keeping the outstanding list as small as possible and communicating issues to the Senior Logistics Coordinator for review.
Help gather and update key customer information from the Transport Management Database to assist the Senior Coordinator / Logistics Team Manager with reporting.
Contact suppliers for updates on collection/delivery status of customer orders and communicate any issues to colleagues and customers.
Under the instruction of the Senior Logistics Coordinator, contact suppliers to book/allocate jobs to the relevant supplier and update the Live Console accordingly with full supplier and contact information.
Update CRM with any relevant customer data such as new sales lead, feedback from current clients.
Under guidance search for new sales prospects for the SLT to target.
Follow up quotations with an aim to convert leads to live orders and in the event of failed conversion gain information from the customer in relation to why the order failed to convert and note the system accordingly.

THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Transport Manager, this role will be responsible for the daily running of a high-profile & fast-paced transport operation in the Wolverhampton area.
Liaising with & transport planning for circa 20 drivers, 20+ LGV & HGV vehicles and working within an office team of 3 people.
You will be front-foot in ensuring the operation runs smoothly & liaising with the client on a regular basis.
Able to understand client needs and respond to them pro-actively and positively.
Compliance and Legislation adherence.
This role will grow into a Transport management position.
This role will be working normal office hours Mondays to Fridays - so would suit someone who may want to come away from shifts or weekend working.
This is a hands on role, where you will need to do what needs to be done to ensure operational success. This will include Transport Planning, Briefing & De-Briefing of drivers & compliance.
THE PERSON:
A high-energy & passionate Transport Co-Ordinator or Planner ideally with a fast-paced distribution background.
A hands-on person who is not afraid to get stuck in to things such as operational transport planning, briefing/de-briefing of drivers etc.
CPC National certification - DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
Front-foot & hands-on leadership style - this role is very much a hands-on transport role.
