This team works to safeguard children and young people when going through CIC proceedings and through the care leavers process. For the young people going through the care leavers process, the team work to support and empower each indivual to build skills for living independently. The team works very directly with each child to ensure they are settled, can make sense of the changes in care and aid in their recovery from experiences prior to this.
About you
The successful candidate will have extensive experience with children looked after procedures as well as in a children’s frontline team. A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years’ post qualification experience in permanent contracts is essential for this role (a completed ASYE is counted as one completed year). A valid UK driving licence and car is not essential but desirable for the role.
