About the team
This team works to safeguard children and young people when going through CIC proceedings and through the care leavers process. For the young people going through the care leavers process, the team work to support and empower each indivual to build skills for living independently. Working effectively with connected teams such as children’s safeguarding and fostering teams is key to the success of each case. The team works very directly with each child to ensure they are settled, can make sense of the changes in care and aid in their recovery from experiences prior to this.
About you
The successful candidate will have extensive experience with children looked after procedures as well as in a children’s frontline team. A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years’ post qualification experience in permanent contracts is essential for this role (a completed ASYE is counted as one completed year). A valid UK driving licence and car is not essential but desirable for the role.

About the Team
The child protection team works to keep children safe from harm and support their wellbeing. They assess children’s situations, listen to their experiences, and work with families to address concerns such as neglect or abuse. Social workers also collaborate with schools, healthcare professionals, and other services to create plans that protect children and help families make positive changes.
About you
A degree within social work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualified experience is essential in order to be considered for this role. A valid UK driving license and vehicle is not essential to the success of this role but will help.

Answering the telephone and inputting any relevant information from the telephone call into the database on the computer.Develop strong relationships with the wheelchair service team.Update computer records for reconditioned and new wheelchairs.Raising job cards on the computer system and ensuring all details are correct and ready for the engineer to carry out the visit to the service user.Contact service users to arrange visits by the engineer for repairs, collections and deliveries.Filing or scanning all relevant paperwork and job cards, setting up and maintenance of filing systems as and when required.Ensure workloads are managed effectively and all daily tasks are completed.Maintain a professional customer service attitude when dealing with all service users and other agencies.Observe all regulations covering the confidentiality of the service user information accessed in undertaking the role.Agree to undertake all training offered that is necessary to maintain the skills required for this role.Liaise effectively between departments to ensure excellent customer service and information accuracy is maintained.
