Aqumen Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established global manufacturer to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for its Hull site.You will provide planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment, helping to reduce downtime, improve reliability and maintain safe, efficient operations.This role suits a qualified engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills who is looking for stability, technical variety and further development.Key Responsibilities
Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.Work with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, inverters, motors and sensors.Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.Ensure all work meets health, safety and environmental standards.Support and share knowledge with colleagues.
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or processing.Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and control systems.Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery.Ability to read and amend engineering drawings.Proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Flexibility to work the advertised shift pattern.
Desirable Experience
Automated or high-volume manufacturing.Plastics, packaging, FMCG or process environments.CMMS and TPM systems.Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Root-cause analysis and improvement projects.
