You will be responsible for implementation and ongoing improvement of the Manufacturing Facility at Ellesmere Port, including new vehicle introductions. Training:We have partnered with Cheshire South and West to offer a course which blends the best aspects of learning with work-based activity, with day release at college whilst learning real skills in the Workplace. Attendance at college will be 2-3 days per week in years 1 and 2, 1 day per week in years 3 and 4 along with monthly assessment visits to support the apprentice to compile the portfolio of evidence in years 3 and 4 resulting in a HNC and HND qualification being achieved. The paint shop is the heart of the van manufacturing process, sitting between body assembly and general assembly. As issues arise, the ability to be able to fix dings/bumps and effect paint repairs in an efficient and timely manner is key within the manufacturing process and we are keen to find and train suitable candidates to support us in that role. You will work on the production line and report into the shift supervisor. The role is shift based eventually, once you have completed your apprenticeship.Training:In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 3 in Vehicle Damage Paint Technician. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.
