You will play a key role in designing RFIC blocks such as LNAs, mixers, and VCOs operating from MHz up to 6 GHz, contributing to a diverse product portfolio covering both analogue and digital front-end systems in SiGe and CMOS processes.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior RFIC Design Engineer job, based in Maldon:
Support product and technology teams by delivering high-performance RFIC solutions.
Design and simulate key RFIC building blocks including amplifiers, mixers, and oscillators.
Carry out schematic capture, layout supervision, and verification using Cadence or Synopsys tools.
Perform EM simulation and optimisation using tools such as ADS or Momentum.
Work with cross-functional teams on block and system-level integration to ensure robust performance.
Contribute to design reviews, support silicon debug, and help drive product success from concept to tape-out.
Qualifications and Skills required for this Senior RFIC Design Engineer job, based in Maldon:
Degree in Electronics, RFIC Design, or a related field, with extensive experience in RFIC development.
Proficiency in Cadence or Synopsys design environments, including schematic, layout, and verification workflows.
Experience with EM simulation tools (e.G., ADS, Momentum) and understanding of RF metrics like gain, NF, linearity, and phase noise.
Familiarity with SiGe and CMOS technologies and a strong grasp of RF design principles across MHz to GHz.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to solve technical challenges across teams.

Funeral Operative – On CallOur client is a long-standing Funeral Services company, based in Maldon, Essex. They have been arranging funerals within their local community for over 100 years.They are looking to recruit a Funeral Operative to join their team. As this role is for ‘On-Call’ cover when the office is closed, you will need to be available between 5pm and 8am during the week and any time at the weekends.Payment is £100.00 for 7 days Standby + £39 per call out.Duties:
You will be required to participate in a 24-hour call-out system in accordance with the local rota agreements.This entails being available during evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.The on-call team will be required to move the deceased from their place of death in a dignified way to the company’s private ambulances and from those ambulances to the mortuary. You will therefore need to be physically fit. Manual handling equipment and training is provided.Partake in an ‘On Call’ rota, collecting the deceased from a range of locations and scenarios in a professional, empathetic and dignified manner.Removal of the deceased from their place of death to the company premises in a seemly and dignified manner.
Previous relevant experience is preferred, but not essential, however you will:

Vigilance in supervising their care, well-being and entertainment
Ensuring a plentiful supply of water
Ensuring dog waste is removed immediately
Tending to the dogs thoughtfully, gently and with care
Feeding the dogs correctly (measured and on time)
Dealing with any dogs with particular needs, i.e. older dogs or some on medication
Paying close attention to the notices regarding dogs status such as an injury, recent surgery or allergy
Careful and efficient monitoring of any changes or differences in dogs behaviour/temperament/condition
Communicating and working with the team
Treating peers with respect
General cleaning duties, hoovering, sweeping, mopping, polishing, washing up etc.
All other miscellaneous duties that may occur on a day to day basis
Any other reasonable duties as per the needs of the business evolves
You will answer to and work directly with the Managing Director
Ensuring dogs are happy and safe at all times
Keeping an open and honest dialogue with senior management
Training:
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship
Functional skills if required
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship
Training Outcome:
Further training and senior positions may be available on completion of your apprenticeship
