Training:
Fenestration Installer Level 2
Training will take place within the workplace
Regular reviews with your line manager, develop a personal development plan, as well as opportunities to undertake training
This role requires study and completion of the relevant apprenticeship qualification, you will complete a minimum of 6-hours for study and off the job training to complete this course
Training Outcome:
The successful candidate may be given the opportunity of full-time employment upon completion of the apprenticeship, subject to company competency requirements being met by the candidate.

A Berthon marine electrician apprentice will learn how to install and maintain all the electrical and electronic systems onboard private luxury sail/ motor yachts and small commercial vessels, including Royal Navy vessels. You will learn how to install cable trays and trunking, engine management systems, batteries and battery monitoring systems, Navigation systems, Radar, GPS, autopilot, mast electrics, commercial and defence electronic systems, shore power and domestic systems including lighting. You will work on both AC and DC systems and learn how to diagnose and rectify faults on both marine electrical and marine electronics systems.

Wiring looms
Cable management systems (trays, trunking)
Domestic systems
Batteries and chargers
12v and 24v DC systems
240v/shore supplies
Portable appliance testing
