An established industrial business is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plant Fitter to support the maintenance and reliability of their production site.

The Role
Reporting into the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of fixed and mobile plant equipment across a heavy industrial environment.

Responding to mechanical breakdowns and restoring plant safely and efficiently
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities
Diagnosing faults and implementing long-term engineering solutions

You should have used structural engineering software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer plus good experience in the use of Excel and TEDDS.
Knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit and Bluebeam along with BIM Level 2 advantageous.
You should have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
You must have excellent communication skills - both written and spoken to deal with clients and contractors.
Some experience of mentoring junior engineers and technicians would be good.
A full UK driving licence is required.

Assist qualified engineers with domestic gas, heating and plumbing work
Help prepare tools, materials and work areas for each job
Travel to customer homes with the supervising engineer
Observe and assist with boiler, fire, cooker, water heater and heating system work
Help with pipework, radiators, hot and cold water systems and general plumbing tasks
Learn how to follow manufacturer instructions and job paperwork
